From Flea Bay, an old Ropp cherrywood pipe

I have a question, is it called cherrywood because it is actually made from cherry?
I know it sounds like a stupid question but I wanted to find out for sure.
Cherrywood is actual a style of a poker as well that can be made out of other wood types. The 2014 BOTL pipe was a cherrywood poker made from briar.

Good point. This one, though, is actually cherry wood. You can kind of see it in the picture, but the shank is from part of a thin branch.

Everything I've read say they are a great smoker and I look forward to cleaning it and trying it out. However, the balance of the pipe, when the bowl is empty, is a bit off. It will stand on its own but you have to carefully position it or it just falls over.

Thank you for the kind words. The Starfire is going to be the hardest and really not to hard at that. I have to admit I got a great deal I think. Paid less for these then what I paid for my last Starfire. I am just happy. The #18 Starfire that kind of looks like a 320 sav will need the most love. Had one that the stem was stuck is now free:) . All in all did great

DTM tobacco day! Yay!!

2 tins HU Dockworker
1 tin HU Fayyum Kake
1 tin HU Scotney
1 tin HU Flanagan
1 tin HU Sunset
1 tin Dan's St. Bernard Flake aka Cheesy Feet

And some cool pipe cleaners Hans threw in. Super excited to break into these, but with daylight savings time cutting into my already small smoking window I'm not sure when I will be able to crack them open... :(

What website can I order the HU Dockworker from?

A couple weeks ago, someone posted pics of an obi-one sav. I had to get one so off to eek bay I go, last one in the bent, oom-Paul shape. The guy even threw in a cheap lighter and a nail. I can't wait to burn this thing.....

It was I. Sweet pipe there. Now I'm tempted to get that shape as well. Ebay is the pipers devil!
Me too... Now I feel like I need to have an Oom Paul pipe.

Took advantage of a $100.00 dollar groupon at BNB baccy, for $32.00 and I went over the 100 by $22.00 so all in all this cost me $54.00 and all of them were on sale also:)

That's such a great deal
My first groupon.... I still don't understand it, but I like what I got from it...
The whole idea is to get a huge amount of traffic through the doors and that x percent of them will spend more than what the groupon is worth... Well that's the idea the groupon sales force sells the retailer. Some businesses it works great for, others, I've read have had horrible experience in using groupon.

Also some percentage of consumers who will impulse buy/gift the groupon and never use it before expiration. Part of the strategy behind any pre-paid shopping option.

Note the Peterson Christmas, in case anyone saw my previous posts mentioning my unlikeliness of purchasing it myself and got any silly ideas.

And I already have two. ;)

In all honesty, I don't smoke often enough to need more than one of anything. I had thought I'd age one of the petersons, but they're not "sealed" tins. Booo!
