All,
I currently have a niece who was born with omphalocele, she's a little over the age of 3 and under went a 5 1/2hr surgery at cincinnati children's hospital medical center. They was able to put back about 1/2 of her insides, however the liver and the rest will have to be put back over numerous surgeries. She'll still be required to have a trachea and feeding tube. I got a call about 5am that she has a fever of 101 and still getting morphine once an hour for pain.
Also if anyone in the local Cinci area knows any place that will deliver a teddy bear 32 inches or taller please let me know. I know she'll be placed in a private ICU room for a minimum of 4 days and promised her a Teddy Bear since I couldn't make it.
