Based on price paid and expectations Id have to say the Viaje Little Boy was the worst for me. I smoked worse cigars but they were significantly cheaper, for the money spent that one was the worst. I really enjoyed the first S&B red release too so it was really odd how much I disliked the LB.
+1 I agree. The first S&B Red release were pretty good,....then the new ones were just weird,....

Though I'm with you on loving them, I'm not surprised that some people disliked them--they have a very unique flavor! REALLY dirty, charred meat, and some sweet cocoa, and more dirt. It's not for everyone.

The first one I had I was like "wow, that's different, I don't know...". But they have grown into a favorite, especially the spicy corona!
Beef jerkiesh for sure, but I love them!

While not really bad, the tat la casita criola and wolfman were both disappointing.
This for me as well including the Fausto (Although I love the Avion...wierd!). I tried alot of stinkers this year in the Boutique market, to many to recall but seeing how I'm usually a Tat lover these really stood out as my dissapointment.

Worst of the year for me....I had a tat black tubo that was just void of taste. Wasn't horrible, but I had saved it for a nice outdoor occasion. I also had a couple of fauxibas brought to me by a traveling relative that tasted like synthetic oil had been sprayed on the leaves.

But the worst was a DP Blue Label corona that tasted like a can of tuna has been poured all over it when lit. It was stored at a store around my area that has an indoor rain forest for a humidifying agent. It was one of the few sticks in the store not covered in a fine layer of mold, and I was desperate.

Sorry to hear about all of those.

However, what was your worst cigar that was released this year? That's what the thread is supposed to be about.

I'm surprised with the Tatuaje La Casita Criolla comments. I really like the HCB, the smaller size and ring gauge.

I went through my notes to see if I missed anything... these are the sticks that I was wasn't impressed with that were 2011 releases (hopefully I got that right):

Viaje 2011 Summerfest - although not a terrible stick as I did finish it and actually smoked a few of them... I wasn't terribly impressed with them. Specifically the 5 1/4 x 52 Torpedo.

Zino 2011 Embassy Selection - I finished the stick, so it wasn't absolutely terrible. This is an example of me getting really excited about a stick and being completely let-down. The wrapper from the Davidoff 702 intrigued me. Didn't really like it, although I think with more age, this will be a better smoke. I enjoyed the 2010 Embassy Selection a lot more. The 2011 was extremely one dimensional imho.

NHC Surrogates Skull Breaker - There was a lot of hype for this cigar, and I was skeptical before I even smoked one. I kept an open mind, but the thing reminded me of the Viaje Zombie taste profile, which I smoked a few of... sounds weird, but it has this dirty green pepper taste that I don't enjoy. Not complex at all with a flavor profile that I didn't enjoy.

Outlaw Cigar Company's 13 - It's the Nosotros blend. Smoked several of the robusto size. Had some of sweetness but no pepper which the Nosotros had when it was initially release... I never could put my finger on the flavor profile of the 13 or Nosotros, but I know I don't enjoy it. It was released by Outlaw in 2011. Maybe it doesn't count based on the tobacco used.

Torano Single Region Serie Jalapa - I believe this was released in 2011. If not, I think I'm very close on the date. I've smoked like 7 or 8 of these. When they're on, it's a pretty good stick. But it's off 50% of the time. Nice oily wrapper keeps getting me to try it again. When it's on, it has some complexity with sweetness coming in half way through the smoke, but mostly leather flavor throughout.

Again, these were the worst cigars in 2011 for me, imho.

Someone told me they smoked a giant dancing liga they got at casa, and it tasted real bad.
Heh... nice. Taste like a burning goatee?

My least favorite was probably the 601 Bomba. Wouldn't say I was disappointed, as I knew what I was getting into, but definitely not something I'd do again.

As for disappointments, I didn't care for the Fausto/Avion or the Casitas. Just better avenues for exhausting my tat budget elsewhere.

Probably was the filler!
A bit of age will help with that flavor profile! Thank you for the laugh guys.

I ended up posting a video in the Secret Santa section under duress (long wife story) and only did it since the public can't view it... then after I posted it, Smokinbodybuilder told me that I was an idiot because JD already posted the same video on FB and everyone already saw it... Regardless, I think I have some moves... lol!

Sorry for being off topic, but had to say something after laughing for 5 minutes.

Worst new "cigar" I tried: Punisher - gimick gone bad

Most 'disappointing': EPC maddies; love cores, LE's, New Waves....but I tried four of the maddies (2 rob and 2 torps) and they were all non-distinct, if not boring. And each burned poorly.
