With Thanksgiving dinner of Beef Wellington, had a nice 2005 Cab out of Rutherford... fair amount of acidity which worked well with the beef:

Just finished off my open bottle of Balvenie Founders Reserve 10... an accomplishment but sad at the same time... ha ha. I think I'm down to one or two bottles of this, so I will probably go without for a little while. That's ok, though! Variety is the spice, as they say!

Nice! I had it for the first time not too long ago at tasting, loved it as well. Hopefully they'll start distributing in Chicagoland soon.

over the weekend I finally tried the Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Rogue... flavor is as described!

Also had a bottle of 2006 Amarone... can't remember the winery but it paired well with a steak.

My liquor store has... or i should say had a couple of half pint bottles of Zaya rum. Never seen the size, but for $5.50 I couldn't pass em up. They are gone now...lol
