Just picked up a few ... we will see if they are worth keeping around heh. Hopefully they age as well as the VR's I have been mowing through

I have boxes from '08, '09 and '10 hibernating. I have not smoked one in a long while. Perhaps I'll break one out.

Problem is these need to age at least 5- 6 years to be getting into the "zone"
That's what I've heard, but I thought that Sucking and those guys only smoke FRESH cigars ... ? So is he rating a fresh Sig VI as the best cigar of the year?

never had a fresh one i cared for. never had an aged one. with the amount of super vintage stuff this guy has smoked, i'm a little surprised by this choice.

Mind you I pay no attention to Suckling and view him as a self important clown but I'd work under the impression he's choosing based on recent production available in the shops. How can he really be judging versus Don Candidos etc?

This better not cause a shortage. The Siglo VI is my favorite cigar....
Thought you caused the shortage Art! :bouncetau

You read my mind bro...let's hook up for a smoke soon

I have had a few fresh sig vi's that I've smoked recently and I do enjoy them...but best of 2011 I'm not sure if I agree, but a great smoke it is.

I wonder if Suckling still only smokes an inch of the cigars.
In his video in London where he smokes a Reyes and Petit Edmundo, he specifically calls out how smoking 1" is not sufficient. This was one of his first videos after leaving CA.
