I know this is an old thread but for some reason it would not let me reply to it. JR is selling these at a deep discount right now. Any new opinions of these smokes? think they are worth it? boxes as low as $50!

If it is the old Pepin made ones they were quite good.
I agree with Gibby on this one! :cbig:

....and these are not...."Expertly handmade at the NACSA factory in Nicaragua with Frank Llaneza’s blend of perfectly aged 100% Cuban-seed long-filler tobaccos grown in the Jalapa Valley."

There is a Toro from Troya in a Nicaraguan Sampler pack from JR's that I love. I tried the Troya Clasicos and wasn't impressed with them.

I have had one of the Non-Pepin ones and I thought it was a good stick.
Well worth $50 a box.
The only bad thing is that JR is selling them and once you buy something from them, they never leave you alone.

I've never had that problem with JR's. I have been a customer for years. I get a daily email with specials , but that is about it.

Don't get me started on Thompson... :cursing:
Yeah. I still get Thompson catalogs and emails. They started when I signed up on another cigar forum. Which is odd because the email address I used for the registration for that site was used for that website ONLY, yet Thompsons some how got a hold of it... hmmm...

It's not the emails that I'm talking about. I bought a box of Cosecheros a while back and some how got signed up for this cigar a month or something like that. Wellllll I received , I think, two bundles of their cigars and a letter thanking me for my sign up?

I immediately sent them back along with a letter stating, " Sorry about the confusion, but I didn't sign up for this cigar club you offer. I'm returning these back to you, so please take me off the list." a month later, they start sending me bills in the mail. I called, and also wrote back. STILL continued to receive bills.

They finally stopped for about 4 months. Then I get a letter stating that they we're going to contact an attorney or something along the lines. I called and said some choice words. I've since then moved, and got a new email address. :grinFU:
