Yesterday, I attended a scotch seminar and tasting hosted by Dr. William "Bill" Lumsden, Head of Distilling & Whisky Creation at Glenmorangie. Was an absolutely awesome time, tasted a bunch of scotch, listened to a very educated man verbally pour out his passion for all things liquor, but especially single malt scotches, to us for several hours through an extemely thick brogue. Even got first crack at tasting and purchasing their latest Private Edition scotch, the Artein.
Dr. Bill was even kind enough to talk to me for a bit afterwards one on one, sommelier to distiller, which was VERY cool. But, as the evidence shows in the pictures below, even if you're a doctor, after a few hours of drinking scotch, it's very easy to forget what year it is.
