Chasing the Breakfast Stout with a Founders Imperial Stout...

Not sure if this is the same recipe as the KBS sans the Bourbon barrels...but it sure as hell tastes like it to me. Bold and beautiful. Damn nice Stout.
FIS is an amazing beer and definitely one of my favorites.

I'm drinking a non-extreme 4.3%abv special bitter. Aaah the smooth balanced flavor of something I can drink buckets of and not be a sloppy drunk. I like my intense beers now and then but I don't know how some of you guys just drink nothing but 10%abv super hopped, or intense roasted malt stouts. Or is the "boring" stuff just not posted about?

Just got off a crazy 7 hour shift cooking for all the million love birds and now to have me a nice few beers. Up first is some DFH, probably the World Wide Stout.

It's nothing like a double or imperial IPA.

Pours a rootbeer color. Sweet malts and booze on the nose. Tastes malty, syrup, raisins with booze in the background. I liked it, even if it wasn't what it was supposed to be according to its category. It's definitely more barley wine than imperial IPA.
