I will be getting this again, avery mephistopheles was out of this world.

How a beer with 16abv does not taste like booze is amazing.

Its a extreme stout all the way and at 9.99 a bottle I'm buying more.
Had this last month and thought it was great. Worth the $10 but for a nice premium beer here and there.

Zombie dust tonight

Good info Angelo, I'll have to pick up a bottle next time I see it.

Still on vacay, so starting the night off with a duchesse bourgogne.

Now this is an interesting beer. I'd previously said the La Folie would be a good introductory for someone interested in trying sours. I was wrong. This would be perfect...

Somehow this beer is able to be both sweet and sour at the same time. Not too tart, and not too sweet.

The most surprised ive been by a beer in a long time. I'll be buying this one again for sure. Awesome beer..
Duchesse is a frequent pick up for me when I want sour but want to share with someone not as into it as I am.

I was surprised by a beer tonight too!

Mikkeller - Monks Brew ... The worst beer I've had in a while. For what's supposed to be a Belgian Quad, it was weak! Everything from appearance, smell, taste and feel was off. Couldn't take it, poured half the bottle out.

(Label is actually brown and not this greyish color)

This was a surprise too!

De Ranke - Guldenberg ... Cool presentation with that spiral blue & white paper wrapping leading to the tinted green 750ml bottle. It's dry and crisp, reminds me of a saison & almost wine like.

Avery The Maharaja...

Decent, but definitely not worthy of buying again. Too much malt here IMO. It does have a nice balance for an Imperial, but that's about all it has going. Hop flavor just isn't there and the sweetness is a little overdone..

Dogfish Head Tweason'ale.

Taste like shitty paint thinner. Don't touch this garbage with a 10 foot pole unless you live gluten free.

Ballast Point Big Eye IPA...

This is right up there with Racer 5 only a little heavier (creamy almost). Doesn't hurt that it comes in a 6 pack either.

Also tasted my first ever homebrew that I forgot about. It had been sitting for about one and a half years. Yeah...it still tastes like shit
