Thank You Jonathon Drew, Nick, Pedro, and all of the extra staff who worked overtime to make sure we had our personal blended cigars for us before we left. To anyone who has not had the fortunate opportunity to take the Cigar Safari yet, it needs to be a 100% must do on your bucket list! I could not have asked for a better opportunity or location to meet all these great brothers from BOTL. Thank you all guys for the warm welcome in... My personal blended sticks are still in my humi, have not had the balls to try one yet...

Chef

p.s. Special thanks to J Brooks for all the great photography...

what blend/binder/capa did you use?

I went with a 5x50
Brazilian, Arrapiraca Oscuro PFS-S Capa
Capote Indonesia Binder
Fillers:
1/2 leaf of Ligero ASP Esteli,
1/2 leaf of Viso Escorsia Jalapa
1 leaf of Ligero Escorcia Jalapa
1 Leaf of Seco D.R. Piloto Cubano
1 leaf of Viso Brazilian Mata Fina

My girl went with 5x42
Mata Fina Oscuro Capa
Capote C.T. Binder
Fillers:
1/2 leaf Seco ASP Esteli
1/2 leaf of Viso Escorsia Jalapa
1/2 leaf of Ligero Escorcia Jalapa
1 leaf of Seco D.R. Piloto Cubano
1 leaf of Viso Brazil Mata Fina

The bonus is that she does not smoke so I ended up with her blend too, she went with the smell of the leaf both burning and non-burnt. So we shall see which one is a better more complex smoke.

Very cool Chef... Thank you for posting an image. I actually plan on doing a review of my cigar and explaining the blending process that we went through... already smoked one of my cigars. I'm not a good blender... lol.

Couldn't agree more. The safari is an unforgettable time. A lot of memories are created in such a few days

It's ironic that I'm reading this now. I just light up the first stick from my blend last night. It's flavor was practically what I was hoping for. Although, after 2 1/2 months, I still think its still a little green. I'm giving it another 6-8 months so the strength can smoothen and balance out just a hair.

All and all, they are the best special occasion sticks simply because you chose it. I can't thank Jonathan enough for providing such an amazing experience that you'll never find anywhere else. It's absolutely priceless.
