7-20-4 Cigars... What's the scoop

I've had a couple of these 7-20-4 cigars lately from local shops and I've enjoyed them a lot for a $5-$9 stick. I think the use of 6 tobaccos gives it a real unique complexity thats not usually found in this price range. I do wish they were a little but more potent, but I just can't get over the rich earthy flavors with those peppery undertones

Here's the Corona (7-20-4) size that I smoked earlier and that I will be smoking again tonight

Just wanted to know the general consensus on these stogies. They're popular here i NH for their history, but I was really wondering how they're viewed across the country where the nostalgia just isn't really there

I have some from 2010 that I really enjoy. Good morning smoke and the wife will sit outside with me if I smoke it. She likes the "room aroma" on that one. It is mild but it does have good flavors to it.

They do smell nice I guess, never really noticed a "room aroma" but now that you mention it some cigars do just STINK up a room for hours and hours. And I probably should have been more clear when I said I wish they were more potent. I wish they were "stronger" but the flavors are definitely all there

I bought a fiver of the coronas at an event in March. Gave most of them away because they are really good. Need to pick up some more. It could be better if it were kicked up a notch.

I like the "dog walker", a petite corona. Seemed like a potent smoke for a small cigar. Nice smoke though.

I like the dog walker too if I want something short. When I first started smoking I really enjoyed the 6x60 (the gagger) and I guess over the past couple years I've slowly been leaning towards smaller and smaller sizes. I think a corona is perfect size, or a toro if I want a larger smoke. And this doesn't just apply to the 7-20-4s. I'm still learning, but I just enjoy the smaller sticks more now. It's become more of a guality over quantity thing instead of the vise versa

Picked up some of these the other day. They are as great as the first time I tried them. The dog walkers a great short smoke.

I really like the corona. Got to try them in New Orleans at the IPCPR. Was very impressed. Some retailers here in Hawaii picked them up but they just didnt move. I think they dont have the name recognition here like some of the more established brands. Unfortunate cause they are good.

I love, love, love these - as in they are in my top cigar list. The smaller sizes are my sticks and if no one bought them, I would still sell them in the store. This was the one cigar at the New Orleans show that I would not leave without. Love the people, love the cigar

We have carried the line since last year at the show. Kurt is doing some great stuff and was one of the most gracious manufacturers at the show this year.

I tried his new stick the Hustler. It is a barber pole mixing the broadleaf from the regular line with Connecticut. It was really good.



I also got one of his limited uber stick called the Spider. Haven't smoked it yet.

Both the Hustler and Spider are fantastic smokes. He also just released a Lancero for you lance fans out there. And I know for a fact he's got at least a couple more aces up his sleeve even still, so pay attention!

Kurt had a really great location this year at the IPCPR, he was planted right next to Pete Johnson and Pepin

I liked the couple I have tried from K.A. Kendall! I am new to the hobby though, so they felt strong in nicotine for me, but the burn and flavor were awesome!

Any recommendations on similar flavored cigars? I also loved the San Cristobal, Selecion del Sol mini...so much cedar!!

I love short smokes too. Most of my collection are petit coronas. Of course if I had a nice huge sofa to laze in and a fine bottle of scotch, I'd be more than happy with a Robusto as well.

On another note, I tried the Lancero today, man what a fantastic smoke! The flavors were very consisted, strong, with a rich earthy profile.
First half, it was very earthy wit small amounts of spice, but that switched around halfway through and the spices really shone through (similar to the dog walker)

AND, on a completely unrelated note. I ran happened to be next to the LFD rep at a traffic light today and he tossed me the new Oro to try :cbig: super stoked
