I have only had a couple of the smaller ones (I think #3 or #4) but thought they were great! The ones I tried were about mild-medium in body with rich tobacco flavors and notes of sweet wood from what I can remember. Been meaning to get my hands on a #2 or another larger size to see how they compare to the smaller ones I've tried.

I really enjoy them! I have a few lance which I have yet to smoke and I have never had the luxury of one of the Anneversarios.

I recently tried one (finally) and that's the flavor profile I got. I enjoy mild/medium cigars but i did find it a bit flat. It is possible it was aged out too (had four years on it)

Always a good cigar..consistent with that rich cigar taste. I use to smoke a lot of these in the day but started trying so many others...should revisit these but I know if I do I'll be buying more boxes and my wallet is already in bad shape as it is.

I enjoy these a lot. Great smoke with coffee in the AM. Lots of sweet tobacco and woody Flavors.

The larger sizes are excellent. Personal favorite though is the robusto.

They do age well, but if your a fan of Fuente's opus x, don Carlos and hemmingway, I highly recommend trying Fuente's Anejo cigar which is a blend of all 3. Truly an amazing smoke!

Don Carlos #2 are most excellent. When I first started smoking cigars, I bought about ten different Fuente cigars, and one of them was a Don Carlos robusto. It was the single cigar that stood out as being different, and more pleasant than the others. They're a good quality less expensive stick. The anniversario versions are a whole different ball game. I've smoked them too, but I don't think they're worth $28 a piece.

I wholeheartedly agree (regarding DC being a consistently good cigar); however, my preference is from Medium/Full to Full. The Don Carlos is a great morning cigar for me, but it lacks the punch of flavor I crave. I spend my money on the Hemingway Maduro(s) and the Anejo.

I've a smoked a few of the robustos and like them. I find them to be fairly smooth, moderately sweet, with caramel and hints of sweet tobacco and smoky scotch.

Great cigar and very under the radar.
not quite under the radar if you ask me. better wording may be: Forgotten about

before the OpusX this line was Fuente's Flagship line. it has been known as the "pride of the Fuente family" and they still consider it one of their finest creations. the Don Carlos cigar as we know it today is almost 30 years old. the Modern incarnation of it was first released to European markets in 1986 and the full line was available world wide in 97. So it is nothing new. its now making news.
but its good and it has stood the test of time for a reason.

I've had the pleasure of smokeing a few DCs with 10 years of age on them and they were divine. So I'd say they age well. Buy them.

These cigars are pretty much priced w/o much of a price break...I do know that Tampa Sweethearts if you call them will give you some current pricing on those...which right now is $199 for a box ...not sure if you get a break on shipping.
BestCigarPrices have them for $190 for a box for the Robustos
http://www.neptunecigar.com/av/cigars-brands-arturo_fuente_don_carlos.aspx has these for $190 w/free shipping so that's a better deal I think.

I think ...for me...the Double Robusto is a better buy even though the Robusto has a better rating...it's all subjective anyway.

Addendum: http://www.cigarplace.biz/index.cfm/a/catalog.cigarbrand
$174 for a box of the Robustos and $191.95 for the Double Robustos....just talked myself into a box of these.

Couldn't agree more they are at a pretty good price point and I've never had a single issue with any of the Don Carlos cigars that I have smoked. Luckily for me my local shop owner is a big Fuente Cigar nut, so for a few dollars more I tend to gravitate towards the Fuente Anejo #55, which he always has in stock year round. It's really incredible considering they can be a tough cigar to find but it well worth it! Combination blend of opus x, don Carlos and hemmingway! Can't go wrong with that mix!
