I recently tried one (finally) and that's the flavor profile I got. I enjoy mild/medium cigars but i did find it a bit flat. It is possible it was aged out too (had four years on it)I have only had a couple of the smaller ones (I think #3 or #4) but thought they were great! The ones I tried were about mild-medium in body with rich tobacco flavors and notes of sweet wood from what I can remember. Been meaning to get my hands on a #2 or another larger size to see how they compare to the smaller ones I've tried.
I wholeheartedly agree (regarding DC being a consistently good cigar); however, my preference is from Medium/Full to Full. The Don Carlos is a great morning cigar for me, but it lacks the punch of flavor I crave. I spend my money on the Hemingway Maduro(s) and the Anejo.Always a good cigar..consistent with that rich cigar taste. I use to smoke a lot of these in the day but started trying so many others...should revisit these but I know if I do I'll be buying more boxes and my wallet is already in bad shape as it is.
not quite under the radar if you ask me. better wording may be: Forgotten aboutGreat cigar and very under the radar.
