It has been coming to light that the 2 embassy attacks and the murder of a US diplomat was a coordinated attack on US soil. So where do we go from here? We cannot just let an attack on Americans go by without acting can we?

Once it it is determined who is responsible I think that some form of military action is appropriate. My guess though is that this is retaliation by al qaida for ongoing drone strikes, coordinted with the 9/11 anniversary in which case we are in the middle of an ongoing response.

Those responsible need to be punished regardless. An attack on a US embassy is an attack on US soil and should not go unanswered.

I agree my prayers are with those families. A lot of the people that work at the Embassy here had friends that died or knew them and had family working at the Embassies.

There has been another attack overnight. This one in Yemen.... I feel our current administration will most likely not be responding with anything other than a statement and some condemning of the attacks and the attackers. That's what they have done with the last two....

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this act of violence against this great nation. To sum it up and in my opinion only, I believe we need a stronger leader in the White House. Ronald Regan's actions in the 80's were perfect...

On April 5, 1986, terrorists bombed a West Berlin dance hall known to be frequented by U.S. servicemen. President Ronald Reagan attacked Libya on April 14, 1986. Ronald Reagan went on TV during the attacks and said this: ”When our citizens are abused or attacked anywhere in the world, we will respond in self-defense. Today, we have done what we had to do. If necessary, we shall do it again.” This is the kind of President we need...NOT THE APOLOGIST we have NOW..

It would seem that the Muslim countries really don't want the U.S. around. If one obscure video clip about an anti-muslim film can incite such widespread violence against the U.S. than I'd say there is some deep seeded anger that needs to be recognized.

I for one would happily vote to withdraw all the U.S. financail aid to these countries, and many others, so as to get our own financial house more in order. IN short, quit giving money to other countries that we don't have. But I digress...

These killings are senseless and really make me upset as a Christian. The Muslims really need to start stepping up and taking care of there own trash. quit killing innocent people! Hate the movie maker but leave the innocent alone please.

Obama has refused to meet with the israeli pm. He's too busy. But he just invited the Egyptian leader (Muslim brotherhood) to meet with him next week. *shakes head*

My sentiments exactly. The direct and indirect aid we give to these nations that despise us is staggering.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and families of those affected. the US will use military force to punish those who are responsible. The president may appear weak but he did authorize the attack that got Bin Laden. I think people forget that obama is a shrewd politician so publicly may appear to be friendly with muslim nations but behind closed doors he may be authorizing covert actions we don't know about.

Sure we can. Remember when over 240 Marines were killed in Lebanon by a truck bomb? We did nothing.

With this weak, inexperienced president in office, we will continue to be bullied and pushed around. It's disgraceful and disgusting.

When our response to an attack on Americans is to a few cautionary words; coupled with the blatant disregard for Israel's plea for help; it is more than clear to all the world that we are weak and vulnerable.

Remember when the US embassy in Iran was taken over? As soon as Reagan became president they gave up the hostages. They saw Carter as weak and inept. This is almost the same as with Obama. They figure he will go on another apology tour. We need a strong and swift response on this. we have to remind these people that we have the power to destroy them because that is all they will understand.

I get so aggravated when our President just starts apologizing first then "strongly condemns" what happened. Oh yeah...that's gonna stop this type of behavior as those strong condemnations can be brutal. As was said this is the 6th time this has happened....we have some amazing weaponry at our disposal....electric machine guns that can shoot around 6000 rounds per minute...one now has the capability to shoot 12,000. They weigh around 80 pounds,,,completely maneuverable to put in our Embassy compounds and would scare the bejeebers out of any insurrectionists and anybody climbing over that wall.....trust me the second guy will think very quickly it isn't worth storming that compound. These Embassys are in the area of the world where we all know it's a Hot Zone....that means we own that part of the compound and have a legitimate right to defend it...not offensively but defensively. As was said with Reagan as a Leader...after Libya pulled that stunt they learned quickly that when he spoke....stuff happens.

Prez Reagan admitted on national TV that he negotiated a, "lets trade weapons for hostages deal"with the terrorists

As for this Prez, its only been a couple of days Dudes... frigates are en route, while we got satt/intel data to sift thru - and THEN the Tomahawks fly :)

Go Nav

You sure your not talking about the Iran-Contra affair? A very different hostage situation...
