Wolfie was a rough foot, a closed foot has the wrapper cover the end of the foot as well as the head.I am lost as well, especially the super long closed foot. Wolfie was one of my first issues with a longer closed foot, just couldn't quite wrap my head around it. Great cigar though!
I've heard it called by both names Jimmy *shrug* But you very well may be rightI'm also a sucker for a closed foot mainly for appearance reasons. I just think it looks nice. Thought the rough foot was called a shag-foot? Which I also think are cool sometimes, but that summerfest torp was just outlandish!! lol still enjoyed lighting it after snipping a little of it.
See, and I thought they were the same thing! Good point!I like the look of the closed foot, but it doesn't add anything to my smoking experience. If all cigars came with a closed foot, I'd probably find an open foot more interesting!
This...plus I sometimes wonder if it helps seal in any of the filler flavoring...even just a little.Looks great and I would have imagine it protects the foot from cracking or flaking
