CongratIt is difficult being a youth these days. Those of us with a bit of plume used to be able to get a job when we wanted one with never a thought.
No kidding.. times have certanily changed...
When I was in my final semester of my undergrad program, I literally went into the employment assistance office at the university, and applied for 3 different jobs.. hundreds of companies used to list positions for new graduates weekly through the university.. you just needed to find something in your field or area of interest..
I was called in for 2 interviews.. and received offers from both companies.. it was that easy... I was hired about a month before I graduated to work part time at a financial institution.. and then became a full time"management trainee" the day after I walked across the stage..
my wife (then girlfriend) had the same experience.. she applied for 3 positions.. got interviews with all three companies.. and was offered all three jobs..
back then it was a buyers market.. unemployment was sub 5%.. unemployment among college grads was less than 2%, etc..
you young guys have it a whole lot harder than I did coming out of school 20 years ago...
once again.. congrats! Im sure landing a good position was no easy task at all..
