That ebay deal doesn't seem absurdly high to me. That is about $215 per box of very popular and htf cigars. While it's not in my budget, there are a lot of wealthy cigar enthusiasts out there who consider $1500 chump change. I wonder what that haul will eventually sell for.
But one of the boxes is the A which only has two sticks and is not for resale lol idk I agree 1500 to some cigar smokers is chump change I just haven't meet any yet lol
I didn't know that the A was a 2-pak. Oh well, maybe Michael Jordan is the lone bidder :)

Here are the MSRP's of the boxes:

No. 9 FP - $13 per cigar * 12 in a box = $156
T52 FP - $13 per cigar * 12 in a box = $156
Dirty Rats - $13 per cigar * 12 in a box = $156
FFP's -$15 per cigar * 10 in a box = $150
"A's" - ~$15 per cigar * 2 in a box = $30 (this is based on what BOTL's are paying)
L40's - $14 per cigar * 15 in box = $210
Velvet Rats - $14 per cigar * 10 in box = $140

So, total MSRP is just under $1,000.

Pretty crazy someone would pay 50% more for these guys. I guess they are worth that to some one.

Meh... I don't think its a great price but its not outrageous. We all know what people payed for the UC pigs and those are recently released cigars. The T-52 and #9 pigs are worth more than MSRP at this point and even the Velvet Rats are a couple dollars less than what they were in Chicago. I guess it just depends on how bad you want them....

Agree with Hosh. The ones that you're really paying for are the 9's and the 52 pigs. The velvet will be released, though it may be scarce. The others are still production again be it fairly small in release numbers. If the person can't wait and wants em all in one swoop, not completely out of the ballpark. G1

<----I've seen some one here pay 30 a stick(5 sticks) for a 8 dollar cigar at auction here (2years in a row) and whistle while he sent the piepol. Sometimes supply and demand just takes over. 06 Noella reservas..... Worth every penny btw.....

me too! I just hope they release it with enough supply so most people can pick up a box if they would like one.

I was at a Drew Estate event last night at my local B&M. I asked Ben (the rep) about the Velvet Rat. He said they are targeting mid 2013 release. With the others, FFP, Ratzilla, Dirty Rats etc, they are low on production and he said the storm did not help anything. Take it for what its worth...
