Depends. If I really wanted to support the B&M, I could see paying that. If you're asking if the FFP on it's own merit is worth $23, no. It's a great $15 stick, but $23 is too much.

I'm down for supporting B&M's, but $23 is out there for one. I've personally never had one, but I know where I can get some at or below MSRP all day long because the owner realizes that if he doesn't upcharge the crap out of them it keeps his business going. He does his customers a favor by keeping prices for the HTF items reasonable and they do him right by keeping business with him as much as possible. Now it also depends on the area your looking at, but still that seems like alot of money for one.

If you live in the in the continental US then this store is raping people... I'm sorry but that's how I feel. At $20 its makes my butt hurt at $23 is all out prison gang style gonna run for my life kinda rape.

Really depends on how much of that is taxes.

But no, I would not pay that.

Who's this great B&M owner I can use some HTFs out this way??.. but to add to the general chaos... For 18$ youre getting a Behike only by name with short filler and heavy metals in it, and if you gents are looking to buy FFPs at $23 I've got plenty for sale!!! I wouldn't pay anymore than 2$ above retail at 17$ and that's only because I'm waiting for the day I can watch a female smoke one :D

I wont pay that for any cigar except maybe once a year. 12 is about my limit but I usually stay in the 6 to 8 range. Plenty of great smokes in that range.

Exactly!! I have a b&m that tries to mark cigars up like that. Needless to say I try to avoid at all costs. I mean from $18 which would be reasonable to $23 which is rape is only a five dollar difference but its principle!

I love FFPs, but I still cringe at the $15 price tag. For $23 you can get a high-end Padron which is a better smoke, imvho.

I'm at a local shop now enjoying a LP9 and I saw 8 FFP resting on the shelf. I've got time to think about it but that almost seems like robbery. Given the scarcity, maybe it's a steal now.
It is on the high side but then again it may be in line with what it should be charged depending on state cigar taxes. I would bet it wouldnt be too far off if it was sold in a high tax state like New York.

I would not pay that much, but I have paid more than msrp for cigars in the past. I give retailers the benefit of the doubt. I assume they overprice a particular cigar for a reason. If it's too much for me, I just buy one of the other 438 cigars they offer that I like.

Seems like a going trend with all b&m stores. I understand they need to make a living but putting a 50% mark up on something is a little crazy. It's not just cigar shops. Local archery shop marks up everything beyond reason. 100$ site at cabelas is 160$ there. Pricing themselves out of business.

I wouldn't, but that's just because its not a $23 cigar to me. I'm sure it is to some people, but not to me. I'm willing pat whatever something is worth to me, even if its over msrp, but the ffp isn't one of them for me.

I think a lot of b&ms are caught between a rock and a hard place, and that causes some owners to make the occasional bad decision. I'd offer to buy two if he'd sell them at normal retail. But then again, if they're selling at that price...

I can confirm these prices. Behikes started out at $30 per stick but as demand for them dwindles and they are no longer the "new" hot item anymore their price goes down. The Piramides extra has basically taken it's place as the hot new expensive 10 count box item.
