Honestly, it did. I actually started squeezing it flat once it heated up. That closed the tunnels & really improved the flavors. It wasn't as strong as I thought it would be but had nice leathery, nutty flavors.

How was it flavor wise? Did they age out?

Can't say with full confidence either way since I never had them fresh. However, it was still very tasty! Some of the flavors seemed a bit muted... so it's quite possible it's starting to age out.
