One of the problems that I've had is keeping the cigar lit. My humi is around 70% and sometimes I have problems keeping it lit, which is fine when I'm stationary, but not so great when I'm doing something else. I like to leave my cigar out a day before and I feel like it stays lit a little better. This is just my opinion, but it help me anyway.

Also, TORCH LIGHTER. And a good one. If it does go out it's a heck of a lot easier to light it back up.

Buy a cigar clip that will attach to your golf cart. If you don't have one, most cart's windshields will have a rubber mount that will cradle your cigar. Only place it there when the cart is immobile. Take your cigar with you when you are off the tee or on the fairway. It's nice to have when you are waiting for your turn or looking for your ball. Always leave your cigar back at the cart when you putt. This is what I do... so you can develop your own routine.
I love my Cigar Minder clip for the golf course, but I learned to clip it to my golf bag and not the cart after forgetting to grab it and loosing several of them that way. When it is clipped to the bag, it always comes home!

I used to take cigars that I didn't care for to the course, that way I wouldn't feel bad if I left it somewhere or stepped on it(destroyed a Tat Noella Reserva once that way). But then i wasn't playing as much so I decided I was going to smoke cigars I enjoy on the course. I do agree that Lanceros and small ring gauges don't work well on the course unless you want to keep relighting them. I always have my cheap 3 flame torch(with punch on the bottom of it), $3 double blade cutter and a Bic lighter in my bag.
Besides and extra Bic bring an extra cutter... I lost my nice one two months ago. argggg

To recap. 1. Bring cigars you'll enjoy. 2. Buy a cigar caddy or other clip and keep it on your bag. 3. Bring extra smokes for others. 4. Don't step on your cigar. See 2. 5. Don't lose/leave your cigar behind. Again, see 2. 6. Torch lighters work best.

Good stuff here. I never thought about taking a larger RG because I hate them so much, but it would solve my problem of my cigar always going out!

I ALWAYS have smokes on the golf course. Go with the larger RG, also get a durable wrapper. I like Rockys because I can pick them up cheap and if someone else wants one, I am not out a bunch if the guy steps on it or leaves it on the last green.

I had a few yesterday while we played and I am starting to enjoy this cigar on the golf course thing. It actually slows me down a bit and gives me something to concentrate on when grinding over a match.

Make it an every day smoke. Like others have said, they get banged around on the course. That said, I always smoke on the course, of course!
