now, just to clarify, is this "lounge" primarily a B&M store? or is it a location for lounging, smoking and congregating, that happens to serve smokes? being in the booze business, this looks like the mark up a restaurant uses on wine (about double retail). people are going there to be served, and are not really expected to buy and leave, so the markup is based onwhat is consumed on premise. unless WA state taxation on tobacco just sucks that badly, which i am guessing is not the case based on your sticker shock.
Well it's a lounge they have a walk in and what not. Idk if they have the same tax it's in a casino (that's the only reason they can be a cigar lounge)...I just hope with Gregoire gone that bill will pass and there will be other places to smoke. They had anejo 46's for 12 awesome price but when they had sharks they were 25 lol just don't get some of the pricing oh well...I like 46's a lot anyhow.

I am curious too whether it is a B&M or just a lounge. There is a lounge near my work that is $125 a month and you get a locker. They are not a cigar shop, but they sell cigars at a 30-40% mark up, this is because they buy their cigars from a shop and resell. Most members I imagine have their own cigars in their locker, but if you need one the option is there to buy one at a markup.
Yeah it's defiantly a lounge Craig and I have smokes out there but they are the only semi local place with ligas. Idk they have reps and what not that come there so I don't think they are just buying from a shop...my local B&M I go to (separate spot) has normal prices on stuff has carried drew estate for like 10 11 years and can't get ligas really anymore. I am just glad I can pick them up time to time here and also site sponsors for great prices.

Nate, I once paid $19 for a No.9 Beli, but it's a really swank lounge B&M with indoor smoking, so i enjoyed the experience. I guess it depends on the ownership?

At the same token, in Texas last week I saw a sealed box of Papas Fritas for $230 in a small tobacco shop. I thought that was a bit ridiculous!

Thankfully I've learned to shop around...
Yeah it's crazy how much location etc... Can affect cost.

Ouch, if they have reps coming in, then likely they are direct and adding the "lounge tax". If they don't have a policy of buying from them on top of your lounge fee I would just buy elsewhere and keep the locker stocked.

Legends of Fire? Their pricing is BS, as is their $10 cut fee, locker fees, etc. Thankfully I am on the west side of the state and have better options.

Yeah thats why I pay the 100 a month so I don't have to buy from them....even tho I generally run a 50-100 bar tap once a week when me and my gf go out there if I didn't have a locker I would still have to buy a smoke each. I was just really excited to be able to buy a single here and there if I am out and craving one. Also before they got them I was informed they wouldn't be gouged and offered around 16 which is fine in my book. I just hate that there's no way around a private club being opened unless its someone's house lounge or on a reservation.
