I don't really have anything I will not smoke because it is too special, but i have a container full of cigars I won't smoke because I don't care for them. Most came in some kind of trade or another, or stuff I bought that I thought I would like but ended up not caring for.
Nothing in my humidor is off limits because it is "too special" either.

Whenever I go to a B&M to herf, I always purchase cigars but usually smoke my own. These cigars usually get gifted to friends who like NCs, or sent to our Troops overseas.

I still have the first cigar I was ever 'bombed'. I don't think I'll ever smoke it, as I just love having it. I've smoked the identical cigar plenty of times. This one just has sentimental value.

I was gifted a 1968 Robert Burns last year. That one probably will never burn as I'm not that interested in actually smoking a 55 year old machine made cigar. Its just cool to have in the humidor. Nothing else is off limits.

My general rule of thumb is smoke em' if you got em', but my problem recently is not having the time to sit down and really focus and get lost in a cigar. With working full time, going to night school, volunteering at my church, and having a girlfriend, I've usually been smoking 1-2 cigars a week while studying or doing homework. It's been a good way to smoke the stuff I haven't been wanting to smoke to "get it out of the way". That said, once I get some free time where I can fully focus on the cigar, I fully intend on lighting up some of my great sticks. The only exception are the Opus, Anjeo, and BHK's that I have heard are much better with age.

For me it's my boxes of Cohiba 2006 EL and Monte Sublimes. I have given and sold quite a few but for some reason, I have never smoked either one. In my head I can't justify smoking a $35 cigar but I have no problem giving away a $35 cigar away... Something wrong with that statement.
Great point...I was going to say there is nothing off-limits, but after reading your post, I don't see myself smoking any of my Behikes anytime soon. I'm sure it will happen, but I've never even come close previously, and don't have it on the calendar for any time soon either.

I have 1 BHK that I can't bring myself to smoke. I keep saying "No, no. The time's not right" and it's just sitting there. I should just smoke the freaking thing but I keep waiting for the perfect time that doesn't exist. I'm afraid I'm going to like it too much and then I won't have any more.

I plan on smoking them all, I even got time for the nasty ones once in awhile when I want to whore it up a little.

Smoke it now!
Seriously, they're GOOD. But, they're definitely not the best smoke I've ever had.

I had this same issue with the Monte Gran Reserva, than I realized that when I was drunk in college I went through $50 bottles of vodka and tequilla in like 3-4 hours and have no issue with a $75+ smoke that going to take 90 minutes to complete.

I don't have anything that I wouldn't smoke but, I do have ones that I find myself passing up. BOTL's, TAA 2012s, my one Opus X and my Mule Kick.

They will all eventually be smoked though lol

i am a philistine and will burn just about anything "just because". that being said, i am a believer of making an ordinary moment special.

i REALLY don't like regifting: anything i am bombed or handed, i smoke, eventually. and, while i don't like sending oout anything i haven't burned, i frequently pass out more than i keep. goldies: 1 box, smoked one, keeping another for later. HGrange; burned two so far for myself, third of a box left. casa cuba (long story, and many thanks!); had a bundle, wound up burning three. more fun for me that way, i have always poured my best for guests. o)

Nothing in my humi is off limits. I'm not a collector, I buy to smoke. However, I do purposely let some cigars age so I am staying away from those until I feel the time is right.

Just one. I have a 20 year old Arturo Fuente Flor de Orlando that will never be smoked, not because it's valuable but because to me it's a piece of cigar history. It's an ugly little Dominican with a Cameroon wrapper machine made with an uglier looking band but it's one of Fuente's first.

I hear you. I'll get on it. The Monte Sublime is such a massive smoke... Supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow. Took the day off to go golfing. Seems like a great time to light one up.
