Ordered a new humidor and received it today. I was super stoked, had my boveda seasoning packs and calibrated hygrometer ready to go. Open the box and it looks sweet, open up and no cedar lining. Returning to seller for false description.

Anyways, I would love some guidance/suggestions for a reputable supplier of humidors.

I have the Oxford from First class humidors, had a little issue with one of the legs when I got it but having carpenter experience it was an easy fix. That being said their customer service was excellent and the thing holds humidity extremely well. Only problem is it's not big enough! I need a walk in... haven't quite talked my wife into it...already have three humi's maybe two more and i'll have her convinced lol.

Ive only purchased desktops from B&M's before.. so I have no idea what online retailers are the best to deal with...

I have made several orders for accessories and supplies from www.cheaphumidors.com and always been pleased with the speed that they process my orders, how well things are packaged and shipped, etc..

I cant imagine even a $25 cheapie 20 count desktop not being lined in spanish cedar.. Ive never heard or seen a box that was specifically designed to be a humidor lined in anything else (well.. except for some of the old antinques Ive seen from the 1800's that were lined in copper or porcelain)..

Give us a little more info on what you bought and where you bought it from.. If you can, upload a couple of pics.. would love to see what youre talking about..

I bought mine direct from Daniel Marshall. They are awesome to deal with. After about 5 years the sponge started falling apart so they sent me a new one for free. They also through in a 5er of their Daniel Marshall cigars with we're very good. It's also an excellent humidor.

Also as you look around you'll see most of the bigger on line stores carry many of the same humidors usually within a few dollars of each other. Even the imperfect s (if u can figure out what's wrong. I wouldn't want one with someone's initials but a scratch or two means nothing to me) are great deals. All the big stores have a humidor tab.

Well I can't post a link yet cause I'm a noob. The Princeton Ebony Wood Spanish Cedar Humidor is what I got off Amazon. If you look at the picture you will see the cedar lining sticking up from the box. Mine doesn't have it at all. So I'm not sure what wood it's built out of. You can buy the same humi at other stores but I choose to buy off amazon because of my prime account. They want a 25% restock fee because they claim it is as described when clearly it isn't.

They refunded your whole purchase price? You have two of their humidors and your not willing to ship one back? I'm confused.....

Ehh... You can always use one of them. Just throw a couple cedar sheets in it. That's pretty messed up, I don't think you should have to pay shipping though. They should send you a pack slip for both and take them back. You got your money back at least.

Well they refunded my money and I am still sitting on two humis. The original and replacement. They want me to pay shipping, not gonna happen.
That doesn't sound like you bought through your Prime account, then. I'll only use Amazon, if I can actually buy from a Prime. Whenever I accidentally pick something that isn't, I cancel that order. I used a non-prime vendor ONCE and it was a giant nightmare. Basically, if it doesn't say Prime on the order, you aren't using Amazon for anything but a merchant account, and you have a higher chance of having issues. The return policies aren't the same as from Amazon itself, where they wouldn't ask you to pay a dime for shipping on a return. I buy a lot from Amazon Prime, and they are effortless with returns.
