This!Leaving them shut.. even sealed is perfectly fine. Personally I open every box for inspection (as opposed to leaving sealed) then shut them for storage. Whenever I happen to smoke something from that box I inspect the rest while I have it out. Never had any problems.
keep in mind, there's plastic, then there's plastic. the cello that some boxes are sealed in is vapor-porous, it just slows the exchange down some. which is VERY good for long term, actually. but if that wrapping was actually a good seal for humidity, B&M's wouldn't have to humidify their back stock, right?I thought so but I wasn`t sure. Thank you. Seems like if they are plastic wrapped the humidity can`t get in. I opened all Mine but wasn't sure if they breath or not in the box.
I just have to say this may have been the best line I have heard in awhile. Thank you for that Java.keep in mind, there's plastic, then there's plastic. the cello that some boxes are sealed in is vapor-porous, it just slows the exchange down some. which is VERY good for long term, actually. but if that wrapping was actually a good seal for humidity, B&M's wouldn't have to humidify their back stock, right?I thought so but I wasn`t sure. in the end, your call. in all honesty,i have a problem with opening most of my boxes and giggling over them, from time to time. pretty sure that's just me, though...
No. No it doesn'tWhan storing boxes in my coolidor do they need to be cracked open? does it matter?
Good point!Depends on how soon you want to smoke them.
If you're going to smoke them any time soon, the cigars' moisture content will reach your target level faster if the box is cracked open.
