ES 4gen 1931 in my Peterson St Paddy - this pipe fucking sucks!
Nightcap in my Nording Wild Boar - now we're talking!
Is that the 2013 St.Paddy's Day? I have a 2012 in the 80s style that smokes like a champ.
2013 Paddy's in the 301 shape. Everything burns and bites in this pipe, no matter how careful I am to pace myself or dry out the baccy. It's also drilled improperly, so you can neither smoke down to the bottom of the bowl nor build a cake there. Garbage.

Just smoked my first ever bowl of pipe tobacco tonight (thanks JavaJunkie & Grrrrr). It was University Flake & it was pretty damn good. Not sure if I packed it 100% right & I had trouble keeping it lit, but all in all, I was pretty happy with the experience. Gotta play with the variables & keep on experimenting.

Awesome. Love that one. Letting the baccy dry for a bit helps some. I do a lil tamp to keep the embers down and have less of a problem with relights.

Yeah, I think it being wet was 90% of the problem. I threw all the tobacco you & Sean bombed me in a little travel humidor (with a Boveda in it) before I started reading up & realizing that was a no-no. :)

I've put it all in separate mason jars now & I'll let it all dry out a little before attempting my next one.
