Exactly. That's a thing of beauty, Rupe. The only downfall on these look to be the price tag. I wouldn't be surprised if they're right at $20/stick. I liked the original Goldie so much, that'd I'm prolly gonna buy a box of these new ones regardless though.
The full name of this new rendition is La Palina Goldie Laguito No. 5 (6 x 54). The original is La Palina Goldie Laguito No. 2 (6 x 38). They're named after Goldie Drell Paley, who was the wife of the founder of La Palina cigars, Sam Paley.Kind of off topic, but is "Goldie" a nick name for that blend(the bands) or a specific size in the line? I'm assuming the entire line are known as goldies?

Not yet. I'm still waiting on mine. I have seen a lot of posts on the NC purchases thread. Hopefully we will get a review soon. I'm eager to hear the verdict on the new release.Has anyone tried one yet?
I tried one this past weekend and was not disappointed, IMO just as good as the no. 2. It is obviously different than the 2 given the big change in RG, but just as good to meNot yet.
