I Got my beads(left in tube) going in my humi along with my hydro.
If you remember I got the RH to 55% then it stayed that way over
night. So I did some research and put a 1/3cup water in besides
the tube of Beads and about 4 hours my hydro went up to 59% RH.
Now its holding steady there can't get RH up any more. Do you think
I should put more DW in the beads.

Is your hygro calibrated? If not, that may be your problem. Might want to make sure that it is giving you the proper reading before you go through all the trouble of trying to get it to read 60-60%RH

Yes my hydro is calibrated`and it is reading( 71 f - 60% RH).
It is so hard to see the color of the beads thru the tube.
Also checked this morning after 24 hrs and thats after wetting
the beads down for the 2nd time, 1st time was 5 days ago.
also along with the 1/3cup DW in humi. I'm getting frustrated.

A hydrometer is used for measuring alcohol content..
A hygrometer is used for measuring relative humidity!

That could be your problem!

Stop opening your humidor.. Let it sit for 24-48 hours then check..

Every time you open it you let the humidity escape. Then your humidifier has to work double time to catch up.
It can take weeks for the wood to fully become humidifed.

You can also kill dead space with sealed Tupperware.. It can help the process go quicker.

Ok brother we are here to help, first lets start at the top.
1. what are you trying to humidify? a desktop, cooler, fridge?
2. If it is a desktop large, medium or small?
3. If it is a desktop did you season the humidor? Second did you do it properly? This is really important!
4. How much empty airspace is there? if your humidor is almost half empty you need to fill your dead airspace (I recommend cedar blocks from cigar boxes, most B&M's have tons!)

Fill us in on the details and we can probably better pin point the problem and get it solved for you.

If all of the above check out. The humidor might not be sealing correctly. Does it close with a little resistance. Puffing air when it closes.

What he said. The million questions is a good thing. It will help figure out what is going on. I would start with making sure the seal is good and do a salt test on your hygrometer. Oh and answer all the questions above. Hahaha

I'm guessing you are having problems with your Bally's 100ct humidor, which is good because I have the same one at home, glass top right? So now we know what you are using we can work form there. So I am going to start with did you properly season your humidor? If you didn't you will have a hard time holding humidity. So we will pick up there. Let us know what's going on.

#1)@ KcJason My Dad may he (R.I.P.) was an Engineer in the Boiler House
for LTV Steel for 50 years. So I believe I know the difference between a
Hygrometer and Hydrometer is used to measure specific gravity of liquids
at the ratio of a mass of liquids to the mass of its pure volume of water.
That comes from my Dads work books.
But I do not know much about humidors so that's why I'm inquiring.

#2) The G & D keys are separated by one key very easy to hit the
wrong key when typing probably mistakenly hit one for the other.
Due to the fact I only have one arm.

Rotty when you say the salt test on the hygrometer came back 71-74 it should sit stable in the container you did the test in.

Also the empty space is definitely making it hard to stabilize the RH.

Ok bro, Next question is like the other guys is, How full is your humidor? If your humi if half full or less, You should try filling some of the empty airspace. Second take the water out, and put your beads back in. I just simply soak the beads and leave them all clear, if you need more humidity get a couple 65% Boveda packs and add them, don't worry about adding shot glasses of water.

Don't let the guys upset you, they are all here for the same thing, to have fun and learn. 99% of the people on here are just having a little fun, it's all in good fun bro.

So let us know how things go.

Wait... Is you hygro the analog that came with the humidor? Or did you buy a digital?
If its analog that could most likely be the problem.. Analogs are lying sum of biches!

Also glass on lids is notorious for leaking around the edges..

I've heard that about glass tops before, I've had mine for almost 10 yrs. Never any problem. I have the same desktop he does, I know that doesnt mean anything.
