Hey Brothers,
Like mentioned in my introduction thread, i'm fairly new to the pleasures of Cigar smoking.
What got me into this hobby was the fact that i recently (2 months ago) quit a 12 year old smoking habit (I'm only 26 now, and ashamed to say that i started smoking cigarettes at an early age of 14) I'm not ashamed to admit it, it was due to peer pressure.
Well, ever since i gave up smoking, i havent been enjoying my malts as much as i used to.
A month ago, my wife hosted a party in celebration of me kicking my habit (Which she despised of off course). And a dear friend got me a cigar.
This wasn't my first cigar (though it was the first i smoked with an interest) and much to my delight, it not only accompanied the flavors of my malt (Bowmore 15 years) but infact it complimented it brilliantly!
Ever since, I've tried a few to experiment where my tastes lie, and over the course of the last month i've also ordered my first humidor (Currently in transit from the states) It's the Lotus Black Edition Carbon Fiber 40ct humidor.
Here are the cigars i've had so far & my thoughts about them. Please note: I am by no means an expert and the notes below were purely meant for my own referral when purchasing cigars in the future. So don't judge my palate as i'm just a beginner
Camacho Corojo - Toro Cello
Notes: Dark looking, strong pungent smell. Started of spicy and gave a good draw with lots of smoke. Initially i didn't like it too much, but became enjoyable halfway down the stick since it mellowed down.
Would I buy it again? - Maybe.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Romeo y Julieta - Romeo No.2 - Desde 1875
Notes: Good light brown/blondish color. Started of with a brilliant nutty flavor. Great consistent flavor, great draw, burned inconsistently, but smoking just one cigar of any brand/type/make is not enough to judge.
Would i buy it again? - YES!

Don Diego Monarch (Tube)------Note: longer than usual cigars
Notes: Good light brown/blondish color. Started off with great creamy flavor, enjoyed it with a regular whiskey. Consistent flavor, consistent smoke. Burned nicely through the 1st half, but became harder to pull as soon as 1st half was over. (Noticed a hardness on the part where it was harder to pull). A little too long for my liking, but otherwise a good cigar.
Would i buy it again? - Maybe.

Cohiba siglo III
Notes: Good shade of brown. Smelled spicy like a full bodied cigar does. First 1/3 was decent, nothing great, felt bland to my pallete, probably because I like the nuttiness and creamy flavor of previous cigars I've tried, but the second 1/3rd became more to my liking. Good consistent burn, had to touch up only once. The end was great and enjoyed it a lot.
The first 1/3rd was had with a mango martini, so it could have influenced my tastes.
The remainder was had with a strawberry margarita.
Too soon to judge with just 1 stick though.
Would I buy it again: Maybe

Since you guys are far more experienced than me, would you be able to suggest a few sticks regardless of my palate.
I'd like to try as many as i can
Cheers!
