I personally don't have one. Didn't really like the ones a hotel had when I stayed there, though I'm sure they were a poor example of the line.

My sister and BIL recently bought one and couldn't be happier. In fact, they wouldn't shut up about it for at least a week straight. IIRC, their model can incline so you can sit up in bed - but I'm not positive.

I'm not sure about a model that inclines...

This was one of first major expenses that I had when I first moved in with my girlfriend (now wife). To this day, she still says it's only good decision that I've made in the relationship. That was 15 or 16 years ago. We're still using the same bed, although we would like to get it replaced so that we have wireless remotes... the bed is fine. Immediately, my wife's back problems when away when we got the bed. It's amazing IMO and I will only buy "Sleep Number" beds moving forward.

I'm not aware of a hotel line that has a true "Sleep Number." If someone knows, please PM me... and I stay at a lot of hotels throughout the year. A few of higher end Hilton brands has a "Sleep Number" like bed, but it's not the same thing. It's good enough for me to really only stay at Hiltons.

We've had ours for about 6 years and it's been worth every penny. It either works or it doesn't. There's really no "breaking down" period that signals the end of it's life but I expect it'll last us as long as JDog's.

Stayed at a furnished rental for 6 months during renovation of the house, they had a sleep number like bed. It was nice, but it was weird having two "zones" and a slight rise in the middle.

Just went mattress shopping this weekend, ugh, the worst.

A friend of ours had 3 of them in 2 years, and finally gave up. Nothing but issues with it. Now they can't give it away.

Radisson hotels had them years ago, personally I wasn't a fan. We have a tempurpedic in the RV and some knock off in the house. The real deal on those is more than worth every penny. I will regularly leave the house to go over and sleep at the camper.

we've had one for about 8 years and LOVE it. wife and i are totally different sleepers and we are both comfortable. i really enjoy the fact that if the old joints are hurting more than usual, you can do some adjustment in pressure and sleep better. don't think we would ever have anything else.

I think thats because you love you camper so much, not the mattress.

Haven't owned one but had an exgirlfriend who's parents did and we sure used their bed an awful lot... didn't sleep much but enjoyed the heck out of it! I will say on the couple occasions that we did sleep, I slept soundly.

I had one a while back. It is an overpriced air mattress essentially. Having the rise in the middle of the mattress was a pain in the ass and created space between myself and my girl. I think they have added to their stuff though since I had one...like more mattress and all that. But if you get down to it...it is foam and air...air is free, foam is everywhere, but they charge over $2000 for it...

My parents had a Sleep Number bed. It's an overpriced air mattress. The problem is that not matter what your number, you're still sleeping on a air pocket. It doesn't conform to you, it just creates a sag or a bump for you to sleep on.

My wife has back problems (scoliosis, three major back surgeries, etc) and so a mattress is really important for her. She tried a number of mattresses, and the best thing found was a "Thermapedic" mattress, which was a Tempurpedic knockoff. The foam was a little firmer, which actually was better for her back.

I'd recommend trying a few different ones and seeing what works for you.

The wife and I have had one for 7 years and love it. You have to check the settings from time to time how hard can that be. I have had back surgery and this has been the best mattress for my back. I would have nothing else sure it is pricey but worth it in the long run.

The few people I know who have had one all had mixed reactions, some love and some hate. You really can't know without trying it for yourself. I spent a lot of time researching before making the investment in a good, expensive mattress, and eventually settled on a ComforPedic. It's memory foam on top of a latex core, so you get the comfort of memory foam with a little bouce from the latex, not nearly as hard as the Tempurpedics I tried. I did not even consider the sleep number to be honest, seemed like a TV gimmick to me, just an air mattress with a digital pressure controller.

My wife and I both love our ComforPedic, I have a hard time sleeping anywhere else because I'm so used to the perfect comfort. But what's perfect for me isn't perfect for someone else, hence why you should try a bunch of different types. If you're planning to have it for 15-20 years it's worth spending some time making sure you get the best thing for you.

I used to have one a few years ago but in the end, I got so sick of it that I sold it on and bought myself a standard luxury bed. I did invest in an organic mattress though which I've been really impressed with. Extremely comfortable and perfect for anyone who is prone to a little stuffiness during the night. I got both from this online store and was really really happy. I actually had to return the mattress topper since I'd ordered the wrong on and they made it so easy. Great customer service is a rare thing these days.

If your willing to pay $90 then you can get a new compressor and the remote. I did this recently because my compressor was shot. My wife fucks with the bed like John Candy in planes, trains and automobiles. You know the car seat scene. Lol

We had one and returned it. I would wake up in the morning with my side deflated all the time and the replacement one had mold problems. These and the TempurPedic are like many things in life you will find people that absolutely love them and there are those that would never get near them. Do some Google searches on the Select Comfort and you will find whole websites dedicated to issues people have encountered and customer service nightmares. To be fair, the people that bought them and love them are not posting like those squeaky wheels.

We've tried them, and I couldn't convince myself to pull the trigger on the cost.

We've had a knock-off tempurpedic and it wore out in 7 years, gullies on both sides. We've since gone to the real deal Tempurpedic w/ adjustable base. We bought the firmest Tempurpedic they make and we love it. Hopefully this one will last longer than 7 years. We have concluded that we will go to a sleep number if/when we replace this one. There are so many options on the sleep number, pillow top, gel top, different thicknesses, etc. Everyone I know that has one loves them.
