As a Packer's fan I have been to a couple of Packer's Vikings games at the Metrodome dressed in full out Green and Gold. Maybe It's an upper Midwest thing but even walking into the home stadium of a fierce rival (and kicking their butts) we were still treated with respect by the opposing fans. From what I've heard though I would be very hesitant to wear my gear into Soldier Field for a Bear's game. Maybe it's more of a smaller town thing?

Correct Rupe. I was decked out in my Vikings gear for the playoff game last year and, although there were a few bad apples, for the most part if I wasn't being a dick, then they wouldn't be either. Just show mutual respect for the fact that we love football.

Sorry this happened. I had San Diego Chargers season tickets for a number of years and I have countless stories of Charger fans, and what ever team's fans they were playing that week, act the same way. This might sound cliche, but Raider fans are the absolute worst! This is experience coming from 4 years of season tickets, 10 games a season. We had to get escorted to our cars by SDPD after a Charger/Raider game one season because of a whole row of gang-banging Raider fans got hammered and started a near riot. They were throwing out all kinds of threats to my family. The row directly in front of us were some SDPD SWAT guys and their families. They later told us at the next game that the Raider fans were know/wanted gang members. Football, too much alcohol, and guys with something to prove is usually a recipe for disaster.

I got on the Trolley headed to one of the Oak/SD games, it was a shit show. The game hadn't even started, we weren't even at the stadium, and knuckle-draggers were already getting each other wound up to the point where they had to stop the trolley and bring in extra Transit cops to drag them out in Zip-ties.

Second worst fans were the Seattle fans that were here for a midweek preseason game a few weeks ago. They were drunk, holding open containers on the trolley (which is illegal) and talking smack to commuters. We weren't even going to the game! We were in our work clothes, making our way home, and these drunk yobs start talking shit about the City and Chargers. (I think they were secretly jealous of all the sun... don't think they had seen it for a few months.)

You're probably right, how can you hate sunny San Diego?
The only way I can think of hating San Diego is when you run into these transplants that move here and f**k it up for the locals... Maybe I am just getting older (and crankier), but it seems like the city has lost it's peaceful, easy-going vibe... there are a lot of folks now who drive like toolbags, road rage is on the rise, folks will let doors slam in your face in stead of holding it for you when you are walking in behind them... less people who will let you get in front of them when you only need to buy a item at the grocery store... Civic pride, and the communal attitude that comes with it, is kinda falling by the way-side.

But that is a different issue.

I was at the Philadelphia Eagles stadium twice. I saw an entire section of Eagles fans chant "Asshole" to a 9-year-old kid wearing an opposing team's jersey. During that same game, two Eagles fans almost fought each OTHER, because they were in disagreement about baseball teams!

The second time, a tailgating party full of Eagles fans was in full swing. A group of the opposing team's fans walked by, minding their own business. Immediately, the Eagles fans started calling them "Fags" and "Pussies" and "Douches." Some shoving and name-calling occurred, but it never escalated past that.

I'm a Cowboys fan. I will NEVER... NEVER... wear a jersey into that stadium. If anything, I'll pretend to be an Eagles fan.

I will show to any game in Saints gear...and hurt anyone who tries to hurt me or mine
Nice... The advantage of Training helps...but I'm in this boat lol replacing saints with skins of course.

I wore my skins jersey to Texas stadium for our game and was with my wife. Other than jokes and heckling which was alot of fun, that was it. Anything more f*ckin with me is a death wish

I'm a die hard 9'rs fan since the days of Kezar Stadium and Brody....I stopped going to games years ago because of this kind of crap where fans think they need to be hostile to opposing fans and it climaxes with a fight usually. In this day and age where a lot of people have a permit to carry there is going to come a day very soon where they feel they will need to use their weapon for stupid things like this. I order the sports package from my Cable company and watch all the games I want at home...smoke my cigars,,,eat my food and drink my beer w/o having to deal with some moron with clown makeup and stressed out on drugs trying to let others know how macho he is or how his team is the greatest...gimmee a break here. It's not his team first of all...he's a loud mouth retard who has to show how tough he is in front of others and when I see these guys get popped by another person...I love it.

Being from California, the locations of the Raiders and 9ers stadium are in bad areas and there is no reason to even go to the games. The stadiums are old, no good food, and you always need to watch your back.... better to just watch from home.

Sorry you encountered such crap fans... people always seem to think they are invincible when they are in groups. I am a 9er fan, but I sure hope they got what they deserved.
Unfortunately this seems to be the way of things here in California now for all sports. People just seem to take things way way to seriously and I totally agree about the location of both stadiums. Attracts the wrong kinds of people. I have not attended anything but Sharks games here in 10 years because it just isn't fun anymore.

it seems like the city has lost it's peaceful, easy-going vibe... there are a lot of folks now who drive like toolbags, road rage is on the rise, folks will let doors slam in your face in stead of holding it for you when you are walking in behind them... less people who will let you get in front of them when you only need to buy a item at the grocery store... I blame the Navy for a lot of that attitude there. Tons of people with an "I got mine" type attitude. And I'm a Navy vet who was stationed there for 6 years, but I'm a Santa Cruz native first. Out in town whether it was gas lamp, pb, or even ob, everyone I ever saw get into it or be complete raging assholes was Navy

As a avid Saints fan I've dealt with niners fans... and they are terrible. I hope we pounce on them in the Dome.

Not you Cigary43!! :eyepoke:
Lol...I love New Orleans as they are my 'second' team esp. when they got Brees from the Chargers...they wasted his talent and let him go so I have no love for the Chargers even though I live there part time. I want to try and get tickets for when the 9'rs and Saints tangle....Nov. 17 th....that way I can get a bunch of sandwiches from Central Grocers and binge on cafe du monde and beignets...yummmm!
