So no one has tried the Rogue yet? Maybe I will need to pick a couple up to see how they are
That is a briliant cigar. A great cigar to have early in the morning with a cup of coffee. Super smooth no harshness.I had this Gurkha Beauty yesterday while my wife forced me to help her with a yard sale. It was really very smooth, with a nice draw and plenty of quality smoke. In my Opinion the Grand Reserve has to much cognac flavoring. I wanted to taste more of the tobacco with hints of the cognac.I've never smoked one. I have a Grand Reserve Torpedo, infused with cognac or something, it was gifted to me and it's been in the coolerdor for years.
I've never had the urge to smoke it. Infused cigars don't appeal to me. Oh wellIn my Opinion the Grand Reserve has to much cognac flavoring. but to each their own. I knows some guys that swear by these but they tend to be more of the ACID/infused cigar smokers
Bottom line not a bad cigar just not for me.
I hope so, I just order a 1/2 box of the Rogue Rascals after reading the review in my latest (and first copy) of Cigar Press. What about these new Rogues?...worth a try?
I like your last line! Had a Cellar Reserve and thought it was just alright, but expeccted more with all the flash...I bought it a while back before finding this wonderful place...I think there are better for less as well...There are dozens of Gurkha blends,I have smoked as many as 15 different ones. Some are decent sticks, some are bland and inoffensive.I have never had one that made me want to buy a box,I have had never had one make me vomit.
Pricing on these is the issue I have, when a company spends 15.00 on the box and 20.00 on the cigars, and then tries to get me to spend 225.00 for it,I draw the line.
Also trying to ask me to spend $90.00 for one stick in a frosted tube that has been "infused" with a super expensive Cognac is just assanine and makes me doubt the sincerity of any company doing this.
Then the company dumps its sticks at discount catalog/online sellers who are profiting when they sell you a sampler of Gurkha sticks at an average price of $3.00 per stick.
This tells me the true value of the product, and gives me a chance to decide if I want to buy them or not.
Even at $3.00 per stick,I do not buy Gurkha. My time is better spent with something I like and a stick from a company I admire and am willing to support.
My experience is limited as I am fairly new to smoking, but on a recent trip to Harrisburg PA I picked up a Rogue. Nick, the owner of the shop, recommended the stick. (Also picked up some FFP, rats, and UF-13So no one has tried the Rogue yet? Maybe I will need to pick a couple up to see how they are
