I had this Gurkha Beauty yesterday while my wife forced me to help her with a yard sale. It was really very smooth, with a nice draw and plenty of quality smoke. photo-51.JPG

So no one has tried the Rogue yet? Maybe I will need to pick a couple up to see how they are

The Rogue is one of my favorites! Its a good medium, medium full cigar with a ton of flavor and spice.

As far as the Gurkha lineup is concerned I have somked just about all of them. Including the new Cellar Reserve Limitada (not out yet) and I have also enjoyed a GURKHA HMR!! (It was a gift... no way I would pay $750 for one cigar)

I love the Gurkha lineup. They have come a long way from their cigars from years past. Their new blender Juan Lopez has put together some great new additions. Ghost, Seduction, Cellar Reserve, Red Witch, and Rogue just to name a few.

If you havent given them a shot lately I'd recomend it. They can get a bit pricey from time to time so I usually try to hit up my local B&M (The Cigar Room, MADISON, AL) while they have a Gurkha event and usually walk away from there with more than a fair deal.

I've never smoked one. I have a Grand Reserve Torpedo, infused with cognac or something, it was gifted to me and it's been in the coolerdor for years.

In my Opinion the Grand Reserve has to much cognac flavoring. I wanted to taste more of the tobacco with hints of the cognac.

but to each their own. I knows some guys that swear by these but they tend to be more of the ACID/infused cigar smokers

Bottom line not a bad cigar just not for me.

I've never had the urge to smoke it. Infused cigars don't appeal to me. Oh well

I've got a Genghis Khan Churchill sitting in the humi awaiting the proper occasion. I remember that one as being very bold, spicy, and loaded with Vitamin N.

I just went through my stash from Cigarnival '13 and found a Gurkha Ghost robusto. I'll light that up tomorrow...or maybe today after I finish this Oliva Serie V torpedo(becoming one of my favorite cigars...).

Cellar Reserve, Ghost, and the now discontinued Triple Ligero are all decent.

In my opinion, Gurkha isn't worth it. Now, keep in mind, opinions are like you-know-whats: everyone has one.

That being said, Gurkhas are also like you-know-whats: they're brown, and filled with crap, but every once in a while, someone thinks they've got one that doesn't stink. And every once in a while, just based on sheer numbers, maybe they're right, but why go around looking for crap that doesn't stink?

I'm smoking the Gurkha Ghost maduro toro right now. The burn is terrible, the draw too loose, and I don't like the flavor.

There are dozens of Gurkha blends,I have smoked as many as 15 different ones. Some are decent sticks, some are bland and inoffensive.I have never had one that made me want to buy a box,I have had never had one make me vomit.
Pricing on these is the issue I have, when a company spends 15.00 on the box and 20.00 on the cigars, and then tries to get me to spend 225.00 for it,I draw the line.
Also trying to ask me to spend $90.00 for one stick in a frosted tube that has been "infused" with a super expensive Cognac is just assanine and makes me doubt the sincerity of any company doing this.
Then the company dumps its sticks at discount catalog/online sellers who are profiting when they sell you a sampler of Gurkha sticks at an average price of $3.00 per stick.
This tells me the true value of the product, and gives me a chance to decide if I want to buy them or not.
Even at $3.00 per stick,I do not buy Gurkha. My time is better spent with something I like and a stick from a company I admire and am willing to support.
I like your last line! Had a Cellar Reserve and thought it was just alright, but expeccted more with all the flash...I bought it a while back before finding this wonderful place...I think there are better for less as well...

Right Here.
Everyone is being so kind...IMO Gurkha = garbage: overpriced, they fall apart (Routinely), and they taste like chewing on a rubber band, but again, that's MHO. Even at their cheapest sampler price ($3-$5) I can smoke an Illusione Rosthchilde for $4.50.

The Rogue series I found to be good young. Young as in when first released. but they have mellowed significantly in several months which is not a positive to me. Spice gone. Pepper gone

Haven't ran across one that I actually finished. IMHO I don't prefer them or the idea of mass producing stick after stick and renaming it. But to each their own. Like what you smoke, smoke what you like.

My experience is limited as I am fairly new to smoking, but on a recent trip to Harrisburg PA I picked up a Rogue. Nick, the owner of the shop, recommended the stick. (Also picked up some FFP, rats, and UF-13 :p). I actually enjoyed it very much. It was different then a lot of cigars I have tried. My only compliant was the draw. It was too tight. Other than that I would recommend it.
