Going with some McClelland Ashton Revival Brindle Flake in my small Sands tonight. The more I smoke a pipe, the more I'm appreciating straight Virginia tobaccos.

That sounds tastey nh of it bf will have to add to my to try list
It's absolutely delicious. Smells like straight ketchup in the tin (McClelland VA's are known for that), but it smokes great after an hour dry time. Very sweet & tangy with a woodsy/slightly spicy core. Very smooth retrohale & no bite at all. Their "Boston 1776" is another really good straight VA blend that's worth seeking out.

Finishing up my tin of SG 1792 flake in a Boswell. Overall, I'd say it's a decent, very powerful smoke. Maybe I'll buy another tin in the future after I have had a chance to try some different stuff.
