so what cigars DON'T you smoke?

we all have one-offs, hard to find, gifts. by the time we get here, we understand special occasion smokes, whatever we may deem them to be.

eventually, we also outgrow shit. tastes change, or blends change, and a cigar can fall out of favor.

but i'm not talking about those. what i wanna know is, what do you have in your stash, that you LOVE to smoke, and never seem to reach for? and why? the stick that you always seem to put back away, the one that you finally burn and go "why the hell don't i smoke these more often?"

For me it's mostly Padron Anniversary or CYB Lonsdale or TAA. I can think of others that I hesitate a bit as well like LA Palina and any CC. The CC mostly because they are pretty rare in my humidor and it's either a huge win or disappointment when I try one. Oh, I almost forgot Dirty Rats and various Liga as well.

Love the question I have 2 different cigars that I do this with.

1. Cohiba Maduro 5 (Abr 2008) I have 2 of these sticks they came from the same box and are being held for my wedding May 2014 and the other for the birth of my first child.

2. DE cigars I pick them up get all tempted then put it back because they are hard to come by here in the great white. I smell them feel them hold them close but never smoke them.

This was fun now you know what I do in my humi lol.

Tat brown labels (non-reservas). Have quite a few and I haven't purchased any in a couple years. All have had good rest and probably are smoking great now but I never reach for them for some reason...

OR Behike festival sampler - I have no reason, ever to light one... therefore I don't.

The smokes I do this with are probably Liga Privadas, since there is no place to get them in Indianapolis. I just don't want to not have them if I really wanted one. I will most likely smoke one tonight! :dunno:

Fuente R54s and 8-5-8s (maduro and claro claro). Not sure why I never reach for these, because I like them a lot. Just haven't been smoking them lately.

mine would be padron Ks and undercrowns. between all the trades i have done, and all the new shit i try to keep abreast of, there never seems to be a reason for me to burn them, but i always wonder why i waited when i burn one. hell, i would probably bomb out more fuente magR's than i smoke if i didn't try to keep fuente friday!

This is one thing I try to never do. I've had too many instances of cigars getting worse over time. If they are smoking good I'd rather blow thru them and regret not having more instead of regretting not smoking them when they were smoking good.

I used to not smoke any of my HTF cigars but just told myself it was stupid and now I smoke them all. I'm glad I finally figured that out. It's so much better imo too just light up that one cigar you've been wanting to smoke on a random evening when you feel like it rather than sitting on it until you force yourself to smoke it at the best time (which is impossible imo) only to have the cigar let you down.

I will say though, I have one opus BBMF in my humidor that I won't touch because I got it for my dad for his birthday awhile ago eventhough he won't smoke it lol.
