I got 99 problems, but a fake Cuban ain't one...

EDIT: I actually have zero idea about this new Cohiba release, but I assume it's not a CC, and therefore I have zero interest.

Looks like 30 bucks a stick I'd have to try one first that's opus money
$30 for a Cohiba Red Dot? I don't even have to try one. That's Montecristo 520 money. It's almost Montecristo Sublime money.
They are praying on people that will buy anything Jay is associated with hell he has a baseball cap in Barney's that's 695.00 I saw 210.00 for 7 of these sticks

$30 per stick is a lot. I would need to hear good feedback on a cigar before I spend that kinda money. I haven't smoke the Red Dots in a very long time, and if the cigar is similar to them I can't believe they will be worth that kinda money. If you try them let us know if they're any good.

haven't had a cohiba nc that I've liked so can't see myself spending money on this either.

The packaging is sleek, but worth the price? Jay-Z is already almost a billionaire so this is chump change to him. We'll see how the cigar pans out...

I don't it's just about the money with him. Jay-Z probably sees this as more of way to increase brand awareness, and possibly increase reach out to people who currently are not fans of him.

True. With his name behind it, it has a greater chance of becoming something great.

I don't think Jay-Z's name attached makes the cigar any good. It strengthens his brand as he markets himself as someone who has finer tastes. He's a cigar aficionado. Cohiba is hoping using his name can introduce non-cigar smokers into buying their products. Hisa brand is pure gold. If he puts his name on something it sells, and his fans don't care about the price. At the same time, Jay-Z unlike other hip-hip stars and celebs can be selective when attaching his name to a product, so it might be good. Like I said, I'll wait around until I get feedback from other people to see if it's any good.

Fact that something sells doesn't make it great.
