BOTL and potential BOTL,

I am extremely new to this forum. I was greeted with open arms and have been treated really well around here.
I came into this brotherhood smoking mild cigars and thinking $3 a stick was kinda pricy. I was buying samplers paying $2-$2.50 a stick and refusing to spend anymore than that.
After just a short time on this forum I'm smoking more often, looking more into the cigars themselves, learning things I never knew even existed, and thinking that $10 a stick is reasonable. I'm coming down with a sickness....

CIGAR FEVER.

I thank you all for your welcomes and for your knowledge. I intend to linger around here for sometime and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better!

I was the same way man! Although there are still done great smokes on cbid that you can get in the 3-5 dollar range. I find myself buying my daily smokes on there. Well, at least i try to. Its hard staying away from the "nice" stuff

This is why you'll hear the term, "slippery slope." The more you learn and sample, you can figure out what you like and be able to spend money on smokes that you know you will more than likely enjoy. It's a fun ride!

Ya know, I had my first cigar that I could truly say I "enjoyed' a little over a year ago. Up until the Summer, I had had the occasional stick and, at one point, was pleasantly surprised when I had 4 cigars in a Ziplock bag with a moistened piece of paper towel (distilled water? *What* distilled water?).

Then, in September, I decided I'd like to learn a bit more. After some online browsing, I found this place.

Yeah, open arms, warm welcome, blah blah blah and a serious eff'ing throat punch to my wallet. The brothers here have gladly shared their experience and knowledge so that now I have a properly set up tupperdor and a few dozen sticks of various qualities and type.

This is a great place but if you're looking for a community that's going to help you practice moderation... I am finding that this ain't it! :applause:
