Yeah I saw the post on Instagram. It's a Nicaraguan special selection with a Cameroon wrapper according to his post. He gave one to an IG friend last Friday at an event. I'll find out if it's infused or not.

Nirvana Cameroon Selection

We’re all searching for nirvana in some shape or form, that’s true. No, not the band....I'll just end it there. I’m talking about that state of joy that only the puff of a good cigar can deliver. Luckily for us, Drew Estate rose to the challenge yet again with Nirvana Cameroon Selection.

If this release doesn't have you excited, you should probably check your pulse. Pronto. But if you're one of the wise, prepare for a Drew Estate cigar unlike any that have come before it. Carefully crafted in Drew Estate's Nicaraguan fortress, utilizing a bevy of rich, unique tobaccos, all the ducks are in a row for a highly satisfying handmade. For brawn, Nicaraguan long-fillers from the fertile, lush soils of Esteli and the Jalapa Valley were hand-selected. In the flavor department, a premium African Cameroon wrapper and hearty San Andres binder take the reins. The result? A spicy-sweet flavor bomb that keeps on delivering the goods till the very end. It seems fans of Drew Estate like to argue over which cigar is king. I'm not here to answer that. But one thing is for sure, Nirvana Cameroon Selection deserves to be thrown into the mix.

A few months after Royal Gold was announced, the new premium cigar division from Swisher International, the company announced—in a roundabout way—that it would be adding a fourth brand made by Drew Estate.

By the trade show, it was announced that the brand would be Nirvana Cameroon Selection and it would be released at some point later in the year. That time has almost come and Royal Gold expects to begin shipping the cigars some time after December 9.

Nirvana is an interesting project as it is the first time Drew Estate, which has consistently claimed to be at production capacity for well over a year, is taking on a new client. It’s also a foray into Cameroon wrapper, a wrapper the company generally is not known for working with.

The cigar will be offered in five sizes at the highest price points in the Royal Gold portfolio:

Nirvana Silencio (4 x 44) — $9.15 (Boxes of 20, $183.00)
Nirvana Corona Gorda (6 x 46) — $9.65 (Boxes of 20, $193.00)
Nirvana Robusto (5 x 52) — $10.35 (Boxes of 20, $207.00)
Nirvana Toro (6 x 52) — $10.85 (Boxes of 20, $217.00)
Nirvana Torpedo (6 x 54) — $10.85 (Boxes of 20, $217.00)

the only thing that worries me is that Swisher is behind it, thus DE might not be into it at their full potential, but i've been looking foward to it regardless, should be interesting.....

Seems like it's already priced high considering swisher is behind it

I'm not excited at all.

After mediocre feelings for the Nica Rustica, and a bit of dislike for the KFC, along with what seems to be the prices going up a bit, I'm not going to try one of these for a while (if at all).

Doesn't really fit my wheel house, and the idea of a Swisher premium is still a bit distasteful (whether it is or isn't).

I still support what DE does, but this cigar isn't a tangent I feel the need for or the desire for.

I love Liga, very much enjoy the Nica Rustica, not a fan of Herrera Esteli, and IMO the KFC was absolutely awful. For me though it's all about the adventure. I've smoked plenty of bad sticks throughout my life but if I don't try new sticks I'll never know if I'm missing out or not :)

I got two of them on Friday from an event and smoked one and really liked it. It was a medium blend when I usually enjoy a bold cigar and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I was/am excited about this release, albeit a little skeptical seeing as it's a swisher sweet. I was disappointed to see that Charlie Minato wasn't crazy about it in the halfwheel review

I'll still give it a try when it comes out though.

Maybe I'm total out of line but seeing a $9 4x44 is completely absurd to me. Turns me off to the whole line.
It's not out of line... Honestly I will try it but at that price I am sure there is no way I will be smoking it. It seems like some brands are pricing themselves out of the market. It's getting ridiculous and I am a DE fan.

I'm guessing the price has to do with cost of the wrapper, and Swisher really trying to market the Royal Gold line as a premium line.

I am surprised that of all the other companies out there, DE decided the second cigar they'd make for someone else would be for Swisher, as that seems like an incredibly odd choice, but hey, perhaps Swisher paid handsomely. Or maybe DE just likes to thumb their nose at conventional thought and do the unexpected.

A DE blend wrapped in a camaroon does actually sound delicious, but it'll need to be a pretty incredible experience to compete with the Fuente Hemingway line, which is far and away a cheaper cigar. Like Hosh, I'll be trying one, but it won't ever be a mainstay at that price point.
