...I have a "smoking jacket" specifically for this. When I get home, I spray with Febreeze and hang it up in the garage. I also go into the basement, take my pants and shirt off, throwing them right into the washer. I then go brush my teeth and wash my face...
Geez dude, that's a pretty lengthy procedure! You know what I do? I just don't give a $hit if she likes the way I smell or not! :p
I hear ya, brother. That's the only thing I feel the need to do something like this for. And, I should add, she has never asked me to. I just started doing it.

Like Rupe said, ozium is the best. But I'm not sure if you want to spray that stuff on your clothes. It works great for a car or room but it's pretty strong stuff to spray on yourself

looks like Jug and Java will end up like all the other guys at the smoke shop - DIVORCED! :)
I've been with my wife since High School (over 15 years) & have 2 kids with her. She's just realized that no matter how hard she tries, she ain't changing me, so why even bother at this point? :)

Maybe I'm doing it wrong...I get home and change (normally because I'm headed to the gym) and drop the clothes on the floor in the beedroom. I get home and she's telling me our room stinks and I reply maybe if you do some laundry it won't. :) I spend a lot of time in the dog house.

You can try this one. http://www.thepureayrestore.com/
It works very well for me. I spray it in my ashtray after I am done smoking and the remains go out. I pretty much kills the smell and it also does not leave much of a new odor. I eliminates all the smell out of my clothes as well. They have 4 different kinds, baby, pet, home and marine. The Marine is the strongest one and does the job.

man these threads really make me laugh "my wife is mad at me coz i smell like smoke" "it's -15 degrees outside with the windchill and my wife wont let me smoke in the house, which gloves are the best for smoking?"
better you than me!!!!

to some extent i envy you younger guys dating these hot as f**k 18-20yo's......
but at the same time, looking at the big picture i feel sorry for you......
these women, kids really, in this generation have been programmed since they were embryos to think TOBACCO IS BAD!

think about it, someone as old as 18 was born in the mid 90s, a time where tobacco, cigarettes, and SMOKE is wrong and unacceptable.
you guys got a life pf that shit to look forward to......? god bless ya!

i smoke in the house, i could give a fuck less....
the mrs smokes cigarettes and so she tolerates it, and we rarely have people over so to hell with it....

i guess my wisdom for the day to all you young smokers and tokers would be: if you find a cool chick with a good body and personality, who even smokes cigarettes, you better treat her right and make her a keeper because any kind of smoking is being tolerated less and less and LESS as time goes on.....

THEY WANT TO BAN ECIGARETTES IN PUBLIC.
A ORORLESS VAPOR
i rest my case.
it's your wold now, im just living in it.
kinda wish i was older and checked out in the 90s, nothing is getting better...

I think you may be reading between the lines too much.

First, I am in my mid-40s and my wife is only a month younger than I am. My wife doesn't get mad at me because I smell of smoke but, rather, I know she doesn't like the smell afterward so I choose to clean up out of respect for how I now she feels. Yeah, if I didn't then she might crinkle her nose and make a comment that I smell like smoke but she isn't going to leave me over it or yell.

I choose not to smoke in the house because we do have people over. We also have a 6 and 4 year old in the house to whom we choose not to subject the smell and smoke.

If you have the type of relationship with your wife where you do whatever you want without regard to her feelings or thoughts and that works for both of you, then more power to the both of you and I say "congrats on being happy". But please don't judge those of us who have a different - yet equally functioning - relationship with our spouses because it's different.

In the end, you and I both live a life we choose and that's great. That the choices are different is irrelevant.

We are all joking around brother :) ; nothing better than a loving relationship in life, smoking and smell are irrelevant in the long run. gotta take care of what is important.

And no offense taken, whatsoever! Trust me, my skin is very thick and I can (and do) laugh at the most inappropriate shit!

Besides, you guys don't know whether or not my wife was standing over my shoulder as I typed that!

I started the glove thread. I'm 41. I grew up with there being a smoke shop in a mall in Brooklyn as a kid with people smoking freely throughout the mall. I used to smoke cigars in bars... So definitely not one of the "younger generation". Still can't smoke inside the house. :(
