Thanks for the info...Here are the answers to your questions: I received an email immediately after scheduling the pick up, confirming that I had scheduled it successfully. On Saturday afternoon, I received another email confirming that the pick up had been "successfully completed" ...HA!was the email confirming your scheduled pick-up or that the packages were actually picked up? Only thing I can think of is that your carrier passed by your house before you put the packages on the bench but if that was the case you should of received an email saying packages weren't found. Oh and if you want a refund your going to have to go through the website they won't be able to refund your money at the counter.
The packages were left on the bench early Saturday morning, because I had to work...They were out there at approximately 8:00AM, way before the carrier would have arrived.
So this morning, I took my packages, my confirmation of pick up email, and my tempered attitude to the local USPS counter. I very politely asked for USPS to either ship overnight at no cost, or to refund my money since I had clearly paid for services that were not provided.
The guy at the counter said that I was paying for the delivery services, and not the pick up. The pick up was an extra convenience that USPS provided. I said that since the pick up was not completed, my packages are now late, so I did NOT in fact receive the services I had paid for. He said I would need to speak to a supervisor who would not be there until 10:00, and gave me a phone # to call. I thanked him and told him that I know it's not his fault, and left him with the packages and will call the number later to hopefully get my $$$ refunded.
