Hello guys I just got the go ahead from my Wife to get a new Humidor, with requests from her LoL

im thinking one 4-5ft tall, she wants it to have glass doors on top to display open full box's of cigars,

And possibly doors on the bottom to hide the stacks of full box's, she told me it can not look cluttered, the clutter needs to be hide on the bottom portion behind doors LoL and she likes the looks of the pictures we have seen of them nicely displayed,

any help in finding one would be appretiated thanks!

While Aristocrat makes some of the most solid humidors out there, I think Arlin Liss builds the most beautiful. If price is really no object that's where I'd have mine built. But Aristocrat, Waxing Moon & Paul Humidors all make some great stuff.

You're not going to find anything solid thats going to protect your cigars in that size range for your price range.....
This is a good as it gets for the size your looking at and close to your price.
Avallo 2000 model.

+1. The best quality you are going to find at that price is more of an end table sized unit and I think the Aristocrat unit is just over the grand mark, but don't quote me on that. The most "reasonably priced" quality unit I have seen in that size is the Adorini unit which goes for over $3K.

You can build one for $500. Find an cabinet the size you wish like an old TV cabinet. These are really cheap since everyone went to flat screen. $100 to $150 bucks.
Seal it with silicone. Line it with cedar, ( I used 1/4 x 4 inch panels from ail order). Replace the panel in the door with heavy glass and seal (if the wifey want glass. Mine did). Set shelves We lathed out cedar shelves but any shelf that allows air movement will work. Pick up an active humidification system. Rock and roll.

This is exactly what I did..

There is an old thread on here somewhere where I took pics and gave some details... I'll try and find it and will post a link...

All in I've got less than $200 invested... Had a lot of fun with the project.. And ended up with a nice 6' cabinet that holds about 1200 sticks comfortably...

Indy Rob did this and did it with even more simplicity. He found an old china hutch, sealed at, put in humi system and just used cedar boxes. Very inexpensive.

This is on sale at Ikea right now for $65.00. I wonder how hard it would be to seal it? Can't be harder than anything else. Just use a non-toxic marine silicone caulk and use cigar boxes to hold your sticks. It's 16.75" square and 65" tall

Or this for $135. My only concern is that it's particleboard and not solid wood so I'd be apprehensive about any fumes from the particleboard affecting the cigars.
