Sounds like a La Jugada Habano. Terrific flavorful smokes...I highly recommend trying a 5 pack.I like, creamy, nutty, some spice, cinnamom, nutmeg, sweet etc.. lol.
I would absolutely say DO NOT rush into buying some boxes. $600 is awesome - put it aside and start sampling. Try a bunch of cigars that fit your preferred profile, and if you like them buy 5. If after smoking the five you still like them, get 5 more. If you STILL think they're box-worthy, only then buy a box.
I could give you a list a mile long of my favorite full-flavored cigars... and the Cohiba Maduro Robusto isn't going to be on it. It's not full-flavored. The Antano 1970 would be.
You can ask for full-flavored sticks, but what difference does it make if it's full of flavor you don't like as much? My point is, you need to try cigars before buying quantity. Otherwise you're taking a shot in the dark.
Figure out what you like first, spend the money later. Patience is rewarded in this hobby of ours. Why blow a bunch of money now on cigars you've never tried when you could spend that money later on cigars you've tried and loved?
If you're dead set on buying a box, why not buy a box of something you already tried and loved instead of taking a gamble.
I agree with this, with a add-on, before i started to herf weekly with a great group of guys, allowing me to PPP many many great cigars, I would read reviews and buy one or two of the sticks I read about, I'd smoke it and see if I could pick out the subtle flavors I read about, it helped my pallet develop a bit and I found out how what I read about aligned with what I liked.I'd hit up a major reviewer, like Halfwheel, check their descriptions, see what sounds good to you, and start seeking out 5ers of those smokes.
I will have to try this.I agree with this, with a add-on, before i started to herf weekly with a great group of guys, allowing me to PPP many many great cigars, I would read reviews and buy one or two of the sticks I read about, I'd smoke it and see if I could pick out the subtle flavors I read about, it helped my pallet develop a bit and I found out how what I read about aligned with what I liked.I'd hit up a major reviewer, like Halfwheel, check their descriptions, see what sounds good to you, and start seeking out 5ers of those smokes.
I have found that two people I herf with have the same taste in cigars I have, quite literally, so I know when they recommend a stick it will fit my flavor profile pretty much to a T, if you have a group that smokes around you or a B&M you can smoke at that's another good place to not only meet people but try different sticks, herfing is a blast specially when you get in with a good group of guys.
I will try this tooa really good cheap cigar within your likes... I would highly recommend trying the
La Aroma De Cuba Immensa
its a really creamy/coco smoke great with a cup of coffee
I agree. If you're not sure what to get, get samplers. Don't spend all $600 on samplers but buy 5 or 6 (or a few more) and try different ones. You might want to buy samplers as opposed to boxes. Once you have decided on a new favorite cigar, then grab a box..
