I didn't even know they made nub seconds..do you like em all? I only liked the maddy
http://www.cigarsinternational.com/cigars/74387/nicaraguan-gordo-2nds/?slide=5

supposedly these are NUB seconds (but CI isnt allowed to disclose it "officially")...

Never tried one.. but at less than $2 a stick it might be worth it if you like them....

Ive enjoyed all of the NUB's with the exception of the cameroon.. Ive given it a couple of tries.. and can never get past about the first 20 minutes before I have to put it down..

Great post!

I love the Henry Clay Brevas Finas...nice chewy CBL wrapper, lots of spice, and extremely consistent (been enjoying them for 20 years) Also love the Flores Y Rodgrigues toro (maduro)...Surprisingly full smoke, with a strong wheat flavor and long finish.

One of my favorite is the Diesel I enjoy those cigars have not had a bad one yet. The H Upman Sungrown is also a favorite of mine. Not sure on the price range of them however, some people frown upon them.

I can't think of a current "guilty pleasure" stick. I only smoke a few a week at best, so that doesn't lend itself to smoking many sticks I'd be embarrassed of mentioning. I like cheap and cheerfuls though. Partagas Shorts are probably my all around favorite smoke along with Trinidad Reyes. They just hold a special place for me. I've smoked plenty of yard gars in my time, just nothing I still choose to do. If I had one I thought was mind blowing or just a great value (relatively speaking) I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.

Two come to mind for me.

LaAurora 1495 corona, which is about all I can smoke in the single digits in Maine.

Humo Jaguars, I have a a couple of boxes that have aged nicely and are quite tasty.

I love the Alec Bradley Sun Grown. I get them on Monster for $15 a 5 pack. I also like the Ligero 2nds on CI.

Btw, what is the difference between the AB Sun Grown and the American Sun Grown?

There's a lot of not very guilty "guilty pleasures" being mentioned here. Illusione? Perdomo? Those aren't even misdemeanors!

But I will fucking bite.

Guilty as charged.
Just what I was thinking. Add me to the real guilty-pleasure club for smoking B&M Wine (wood tip - only the best :D).

That is, when I didn't have Cohiba minis readily available. And no, not the red dots; one of the few pleasures of the sandbox.

Careful of sandbox smokes... Lots of fakes... About the only place I saw real cc's in Iraq was at BIAP.. Everywhere else, to include the little smoke shop next door to the main PX in the IZ... Fakes...

If you're talking about Astan... The only place I saw real CC's there were a couple of the Euro forces PX's in KIAI.. The stuff I saw in the other shops were fakes...

I get a kick out of people bashing Ataldis and General. I really enjoy Monte Platinum and White. The Mexican wrapper on the Platinum ages beautifully! I like some Don Tomas, especially the Camaroon Collection and since they have been discontinued they should be clearing them out soon........they make good grass cutting cigars.
The Vega Fina Master and Sumum cigars are very nice IMHO.
As far as Gurkha cigars go, I get a kick out people bashing them also. They seem to come out with a new 'blend" almost every month but, I have some Legend and Regent blends with a lot of age on them and they're fantastic!

Now, if you're talking about being emberassed to be seen smoking something.......I have a couple Puros Indios Double Maddies...............but these are great!

I smoke what I like, there is no guilty pleasure cigar, if I like it I smoke it no matter what it is.

Now if you said guilty pleasure actor I would say Nic Cage, but cigars aren't guilty pleasures :)

Happy Smoking!

Between the Brits, Italians, and the Greeks.. There was always good smoke and snacks available there... Glad to see that hasn't changed :)

The little Brit PX on Camp Sullivan used to keep a few gems in stock too.. Albeit dry stock.. :)
