I get a kick out of people bashing Ataldis and General. I really enjoy Monte Platinum and White. The Mexican wrapper on the Platinum ages beautifully! I like some Don Tomas, especially the Camaroon Collection and since they have been discontinued they should be clearing them out soon........they make good grass cutting cigars.
The Vega Fina Master and Sumum cigars are very nice IMHO.
As far as Gurkha cigars go, I get a kick out people bashing them also. They seem to come out with a new 'blend" almost every month but, I have some Legend and Regent blends with a lot of age on them and they're fantastic!

Now, if you're talking about being emberassed to be seen smoking something.......I have a couple Puros Indios Double Maddies...............but these are great!

Very good to know. I have a Platinum toro in my humidor that I haven't tried yet but after the White I've been eager to see if it is an good. I'm encouraged hearing that you like the White, so I'll check it out.

I saw a deal today from Cigar.com where you can get 30 Gurkha's (6 of 5 different kinds) for only $89.95:

6 x Gurkha Centurian Double Perfecto (6.0"x60)
6 x Gurkha Beauty (6.5"x56)
6 x Gurkha Vintage Shaggy Gran Rothschild (6.5"x55)
6 x Gurkha Beast (6.5"x56)
6 x Gurkha Warlord (6.75"x60)

I don't plan to get any though. I'd rather do a single stick and make sure I like it before I commit.

It's cool to see what people are saying they like. It encourages me of some to not just automatically dismiss.

I enjoy nearly everything made by Don Pepin Garcia and Liga Privadas. I like spicey smokes.

My two favorites are probably an LFD Salamon natural and a CC HdM Epicure #2.

Great post!

I love the Henry Clay Brevas Finas...nice chewy CBL wrapper, lots of spice, and extremely consistent (been enjoying them for 20 years) Also love the Flores Y Rodgrigues toro (maduro)...Surprisingly full smoke, with a strong wheat flavor and long finish.
Funny, I saw an interview with Pete Johnson recently where he said the Henry Clay was one of his guilty pleasure smokes.

I remember him grabbing a few of those at my friends shop a few years back. ..After that I had to try them. And I think he patterned the La Casita after it.
