Need to see if I made notes.....

Off the top of my head its half and half brown to black rope cut in thin coins, then I cut the coins in half across their diameter and just let them be that. Then id say whatever Virginia you like thats bright and on the sweeter side maybe 20%, and I did latakia to about 15-20%. I am sort of guessing here because the first time I weighed and i need to find notes. The second time i made the blend it was more by eye and smell. Both are nice. Want me to send you some?

Love the green rim on that. Almost picked one up myself!
Thanks bro. The rim is what sold me on picking one of the series up. It was a bit darker than I anticipated from other examples I'd seen, but I'm just going to work at keeping it clean and prevent the rim from darkening up too much more. They are still out there in decent numbers from what I saw, so maybe it will still happen... Already under 100... Ha ha.

Gave up on the dark Star. It needs way more dry time. I have had the tin open for almost two months too. So now I am trying all my chopped up cigars that were broken/damaged and essentially cased with a little rum to facilitate cutting with kitchen scissors. Not a bad use of damaged cigars I must say.

Hackert take two! Macbaren Old Dark Fired that u rubbed out over a month ago. Way easier smoke than that goopy dark star blend. Now I can see why his pipes are so acclaimed, excellent smoker!

My only wish is that it had a smooth rim rather than rusticated. I'm sure its rusticated because the grain didn't lend to a smooth rim, but it'd be easier to clean the rim darkening off from time to time.
