I will seek it out. Right now I have my eyes on Gawith Kendal Kentucky.
I've got a little of that too, ok as a mixer, but IMHO not to be smoked on its own, it's one of the finest thin cut tobaccos I've ever seen, almost fluffy
Why do you say good as a mixer vs smoke on its own? Too much dark fired in yo face or something? I like Brown rope by itself for the strength, wish it had some dark fired to it as well.

Yes a little too much in your face, I smoked one bowl by itself and didn't care for it, it definately has strength and I enjoyed adding it to other blends for that and to add a little body/ dark fired flavors, I too have smoked brown rope, and the rum/maple/black Irish x and enjoy them, they are some of the strongest/ fullest body tobaccos for me, but the Kendall ky just seemed one dimensional and I didn't like that one dimension without the addition of vas etc

A little Yenidje Supreme in my meer. First time in a long while that smoked out of it. Had to do a beeswax fix and finally did it today.

Also had some le burmuse earlier. It has great flavor but burned super hot and fast despite packing the bowl real tight. I think it needs a little more moisture than it comes with. So i will stick it in my humi a few weeks and revisit. Great stuff but despite my best efforts to smoke it slow it was hot.

You can smoke the shit out of it with no resting the pipe. You don't need to maintain a cake l, in fact you don't want one. They are a pretty neutral smoking pipe due to the nature of the meer. Its super light. I like using it from time to time trying different blends out. I clean it with vodka so it doesn't really carry any blends from one smoke to the next. Mine was a gift too while I was in Turkey. Its not the highest quality but now that I fixed the stem leak, it smokes fine.

Does all pipe baccy taste (relatively) the same? Is there any that resembles cigar flavors? I've tried a few blends and was caught off guard as I was expecting the tobacco to taste differently. Also my corncob pipe is leaking I think so it adds to the diminished experience..
