Nothing more to add that really hasn't been said. My observations in the stores are:
1. More flavor from the bigger ring gauge - misconception that some smokers have.
2. More value - Robusto = $5, 7x70 = $7. $2 more for more than twice the tobacco (give or take).
3. Some customers think it's more manly to smoke a bigger cigar.
4. It's trendy right now, perpetuated by the manufacturers and oversaturating to grab a piece of the action.
5. Because it's trendy, shops tend to promote what sells for them and trimming small sizes from the shelf.
