Old Dark Fired can be bought anyday for I think $40 a pound. Just saying....give it a shot since you have some. I very fond. I want to buy more up using the 20% discount and get some of the MacBaren latakia flake.

Met up with the San Diego Pipe Club last night. Good group of guys and good conversation. I'm glad I looked them up while I was in town.

Partook in some Smoking Pancake (from Captain Hunt), Holiday Spice (given to me by one of the guys) and some Waccamaw (given to me by another one of the guys).

So I felt like mixing today and seemed to make something that suited my palate , as to specific proportions I cannot be exact but it was about 60 Vermont meat candy, 25 gh maple twist and 15 black Irish , turned out quite well, I'm not generally an aro guy but tasted like tobacco with a nice kick and an aura of maple.....maybe bacon, but then again I love bacon so it may be all in my head but tasty nevertheless .... Aros seem to lack In the vitamin N dept this was satisfying on both fronts

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

Went out to the barn with Mama for some horse time.
Brought along the Sav 310 Series III and some Black Cordial, courtesy of Tobacconists of Cary / pipeandleaf.com
Seems like I've had a long stretch of lat blends. Was nice to throw an aro in before I hit the Odyssey this week.
Oh, and yes, that horse needs to eat!

Are you telling me you managed a maple/bacon baccy blend? If so, we need to talk.

Enjoying some Davidoff green mixture in a newish bent billiard. This blend is more mild than I normally care for but it's smoking well tonight.

Yep, but the Vermont meat candy was just that to start, however the ropes stepped up the intensity a but while still having a little flavor to them

I'm going to smoke through this creation and maybe try just a touch of Latakia for a little "smoked" flavor on the next batch

Any difference on types of Latakia flavor wise, that you guys know about

like Syrian vs others
