This sounds like a really cool thing for you and your friends! I'd be happy to do some tasting for them if you still need people to do so. If not I'd definitely be down to purchase some to try. Thanks for including all of us here on the board.

I'd love to get any involvement in a new marca! !
I'd be willing to pay for some sampler to try before mass market, and while I dont have the best palette, would give my honest impression on the cigars.

Hey it's a tough world in cigars definitely dog eat dog. Tell that the Canadians are always interested cause we are fairly limited in what we can get in our B&Ms here. Tell me rooting for them the whole way.

3. They have ordered a batch of Conn, Habano and Maduro in a few sizes each, lot of 30k sticks for initial go.

Thoughts/concerns? I'll share everything w/ the guys doing this to help them out.
Living the dream, I hope he can make it work. I'd love to buy some 5 packs, make a post when we (I) can send some money along..

I love passionate adventures. Fortune favor the bold! Id love to do a review of the blends they cook up. Do you have any more info to share on the company? Name? Blender's resume? Where they will be rolling out of?

In due time. I haven't been cleared to release that info yet. Once I can I'll be happy to share more of the specifics. As for the company, it's a new joint venture and I know all of them...sadly I didn't have enough cash to put in so I'm more the mouth of the group and will probably do some shows with them. I don't mind riding coat tails.

Very cool, I look forward to it and I'd rather be in the backseat myself, rather than not be in the car at all. It's still a wild ride!

Just a little update...

The first batch of cigars are almost here, at customs in Miami. Although this first batch will not be what the final product is, so there will be a bit more delay as some good things have happened.

The master blender....(can't share his name yet)...used to work for Ernesto Perez-Carrillo and was the person who originated/developed the original Serie R cigar for E.P. He also oversaw E.P.'s rolling facilities for quite a few years. This blender was talking with E.P. just recently and told him of this project and E.P. was upset that he wasn't contacted and wants this new endeavor to use his facilities (currently they're being rolled in a Kristoff facility). E.P. offered up his blending room and all his tobacco for the blender to work with. So in the near future he will return to start reblending the line for my friends.

It also turns out that I may get a trip out of it to go and help taste and provide input into the new line.

Things are getting interesting. :)
