My brother served in the Air Force in turkey and brought it back it was a gift from him when he found out I picked up a pipe, still smokes a little wet but that may be my technique I've only smoked a few bowls out of it

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...

Had some Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake (courtesy of @javajunkie and his absolutely ludicrous "Six Pack & A Pound" hit) in a Papalia billiard. I think this will be one of the first pipes I take out of regular rotation and dedicate. Not to a specific blend or type, but dedicated to when I can sit for an hour and a half! That bowl is DEEP when you're trying to just light a pinch for a fifteen minute smoke. I could probably fit four full FVF flakes in there, easy. Had some more Stonehaven today as well, but I enjoyed the FVF more. I may have to buy this one in bulk and cellar for the long haul!

The other Forever Stem on another MM cob, with July PToM Sutliff Molto Dolce
What's your verdict on the stems?
A definite yes!
The one above doesn't have the best finish (could have used more sanding in a spot, and where it connects to the cob is out of round) but the mouth feel alone is a night and day difference. Doesn't feel like a toy anymore!

Did u make your own mud or buy something, I've read about mudding but what is the purpose in a cob

Does it smoke better?
It protects the weak bottom and eliminates the spots where dottle accumulates because of the way they make these and how the shank is shoved in. I make my own. Just cigar ash, distilled water, and I put a couple drops of maple syrup. Definitely not rocket science, and a lot of guys use spit and ash. I wouldn't buy a product unless it did something special... Ha ha.

Hmmm...... I may have to try it in one of my cobs, I'm yet to burn one out, usually stop smoking before I get to the bottom with the proverbial white ash as I get more likey to get bit!

You know you've got too much baccy when you're looking for something and you find 6 ounces of ps lnf that's a year old you had no idea existed

So I'm typically more of an English smoker as a whole but man this stuff is amazingly tasty but seems to be burning really hot despite my typical slow smoking pace

It seemed fairly dry when I packed it, is this typical for the blend in your experience, my cob got so hot I had a hard time holding it
