i remember a recent thread on here about the delicate wrappers on the Tat Black CG's. I've never had an issue with those but fired up an Angel's Anvil for the first time this weekend and had some wrapper issues. The wrapper seemed very fragile and delicate. Just wondering if this is the norm for this stick. Regardless of the issues the smoke was amazing, wrapper didn't cause any burn or draw issues, just had to keep pasting it back together as I smoked. Again, just currious to see others expereinces with this stick.

Didn't have any wrapper issues, but this stick wouldn't stay lit very long between puffs. (was working and smoking at the same time)

I have not had the pleasure of trying one of these, though it is on my to do list. Would some rest affect this at all?

Just out if curiosity, what RH did you have them stored at. Just wondering if that may be the issue.

I had almost a carbon copy experience with one the other day. Didn't effect the smoke but it seems like the wrapper just wanted to unravel on me. That was a single i got, I have a box sitting and waiting. I'll have to get into a couple over the next month or so to see if it is an issue or just a "one-off"

The wrapper does seem delicate, one of mine suffered minor damage during transit so it was the first to go up in flames. Nothing like the OP very minor. With a natural product your bound to have variances.

I only got a 5 pack I am definitely ordering more soon.

I had a minor issue with the one I smoked last week. The wrapper cracked when I tried to remove the band and then I got a minor "humidity bulge" explosion where the band was. The last couple of inches unravelled but I toughed it out. I'm guessing that with a little more time to acclimate in my humidor the rest of the batch will be just fine.

Still one of the best cigars that I've smoked in the past couple of months!

The wrapper itself is Ecuadorian Havana wrapper which by no means is fragile. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances as to why wrappers split and bulge and for me I tend to think not enough time is given to cigars being given enough time in our own humidors. Acclimating cigars takes time so that the entire cigar from head to foot is being properly humidified and that takes weeks ...not days. Sometimes they just split as QC measures are not perfect and for those who are saying that theirs smoked just fine with no issues is a good thing to hear. Crowned Heads is just a great cigar with a great lineup of product and I haven't had the pleasure yet in smoking this one or the Jericho Hill but they are on order and can't wait to smoke em.
